his bagels

I wake up the next day to find myself on Josh's chest, his quiet snoring makes me smile. I gently move his hand and tiptoe to this closet, I pick out a smaller size of sweatpants and a jumper and freshen myself up in his bathroom. I slowly walk downstairs to see his sister making eggs

"Hey girl" she smiled as she opens the fridge. I smile back at her as I sit myself down on the counter.

"You've met Nick right?" Olivia asked me. 

"Yeah I have, he is nice" I replied.

"I think low-key, he has a crush on you" snickered Olivia as she plated some eggs for me. I laughed as I grabbed a fork from the cutlery cup.

"You serious Liv? I am dating your brother, plus I don't like Nick in that way" I replied as I ate my eggs. 

"Look y/n, just letting you know that..." she sighs as she looks at me.

"Come on Liv, spill," I said to her. She nodded.

"He was talking to me yesterday about you, and he sounded all lovey like. So I asked him if he likes you and he was paused for a second and said he didn't know" she answered. A knot formed in my stomach as I listened to her, I took a deep breathe in and continued eating my eggs.

"You don't have to listen to me y/n, I just thought you should know," she said. I nodded, soon Nick came from the corner. He was shirtless, wearing a pair of sweatpants and his hair all messy.

"Oh hey, y/n" he smiled as he walked to the fridge. I gulped down my eggs, soon the eggs weren't as appetising as they looked on the plate. 

"I am going out to get coffee, want anything?" I blurted out as I tried to ignore the knot feeling that was bothering me.

"I'll come with you," said Nick as he leaned against the counter. I looked at him as my heart started to race.

"No it's fine, it'll be quick anyways" I nervously chuckled as I started to walk to my car outside.

"No I wanna come with you, just let me grab a shirt?" asked Nick as he grabbed my hand. I nervously gave him a nod, when he was gone to grab a shirt I dart my eyes to Olivia.

"Stay calm and don't frighten him please" grinned Olivia as she poured herself some orange juice.

"Finger crossed I don't freak" I sighed as I walked out the house and got into the car. Within a couple of seconds, Nick comes out and gets into the car and I pull out of the driveway.

"How was yesterday?" asked Nick. I took a deep breath in and looked over at him.

"It was nice, I thought it was cute of Josh to take me there" I smiled as I remembered the other night. Nick nodded and I see him turn the radio on.

"You look good today" he grinned as he looked at me. I bring my gaze over to him and his face is plastered with a soft smile.

"Thanks, Nick" I smiled as I turned into the drive-thru of Starbucks. I ordered a pink drink for me, a caramel macchiato for Nick, a black coffee for Olivia and 2 bagels for Josh. Soon we were out of the Starbucks with our drinks in the drink holders.

"Do you like Penn State?" I asked Nick so we wouldn't have to hear the awkward silence.

"It's really good actually, I share a dorm with Josh and yeah not a bad place" he answered as he sipped his drink. I nodded and then I hear my phone ring.

"Mind picking that up?" I asked Nick. He dug into my purse and pulled out my phone and answered my phone.

"Hullo y/n's friend speaking," he said in a cheery voice. I smile and soon the phone is on speaker.

"Hey, girlie," said the voice from the other line. I grinned to myself, recognizing the cute voice.

"Hey bubs," I said as I drove.

"Did you two get my bagels?" asked Josh.

"Two bagels, one spread with cream cheese and tomato slices sprinkled with pepper and the other just with plain butter. Yes, we got them" I said. I hear Josh laughing.

"Can't wait to see dem bagels and your cute face," said Josh. 

"You too, we are almost at home. See you soon my boy" I said. 

"Bye, my love," said Josh and Nick cut the call.

"You guys are such cuties" pouted Nick as I drove. 

"Can't say I don't agree" I giggled as I turn into Josh's driveway. We both get out and walk into the living area and Josh is sitting with Olivia and Jaden. I drop the drinks and the bagels on the dining table and run to Jaden, I wrap my arms around him and he picks me up as I start laughing. I remove him from my embrace and look at Jaden.

"YOU DIDN'T TELL ME YOU WERE COMING BACK HOME SO EARLY!?" I screamed as I hugged him again. He starts laughing at my excitement.

"Just a little surprise, Josh planned it," said Jaden as he pointed to Josh. I turned to Josh and planted a kiss on his cheek.

"Your the best" I grinned. Josh grinned.

"I haven't seen you in ages" I smiled as I sat with Jaden on the sofa. 

"I know right, I missed you so much" he smiled back.

"Missed you too, the groups gonna be really happy that your back," I said to him as I sipped my drink. 

"Oh yeah, I heard Olivia and Mads got kinda caught up in cheer. Don't worry, I will force them to come back" said Jaden. I nodded feeling a little worry coming out my system, now that I know for sure Mads and Olivia are gonna hang with us.

"Yeah it was a shame, they did wanna sit with us but they had practice and never could hang with us," I said to him as Josh brought a cup of coffee for Jaden. 

"Well, now there are gonna be here now" smiled Jaden as he sipped his coffee.

"Hey, Jaden," said Nick as he sat next to me.

"Nick right? I've heard a lot from you from Josh, glad he got a friend there" chuckled Jaden.

"Your acting like he's my only friend, I have more," said Josh as he sat next to Jaden. We all laughed at Josh's shocked face and we continued talking.
