I am scrolling through my phone on Josh's bed when Josh walks in with his hands in his pockets. I look up to his eyes as he sits down.

"He's downstairs, I calmed him down," he said to me. I nodded, I held his hands and sighed.

"Thank you for being so amazing, I really appreciate everything you are doing," I said.

"I love you" he smiled. I give him a quick kiss on the lips and head downstairs to see Nick sitting at the kitchen counter.

"Hey," I said. He turned around and gestured for me to sit down.

"I am sorry for going all crazy Nick on you" answered Nick as he looked at me.

"Same, I should never have said that stuff. I have no idea what you are going through-" I started but Nick leans closer and crashes his lips into mine. 

I open my eyes and push him away angrily, I see Josh from the corner of my eye with a numb expression. My legs race to him but he pushes me away and walks to his car and drives off.

"NICK HOW COULD YOU?!" I shouted as I started running out the door but I am stopped by Nick's hand gripped around my arm. 

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" I shouted at him again. 

"Let him go, he will cool off and come back home," he said. I shook Nick off my grip and grab my keys and rush outside, ignoring Nick's comment. I hastily start the car engine and start driving to random places each resulting with no Josh, I do this for at least 2 hrs until I stop at the diner hoping he might be there. 

"Macy? Did Josh come here?" I asked the owner of the diner as I enter.

"No sweetheart, you seem worried. Want me to whip you up some fries and a milkshake?" she asked with concern. Macy has owned this place since I was 5 since our town wasn't as big she basically knew all the kids who came here regularly. She always wore the diner's uniform, baby blue frock with a blush pink apron embroidered with the diner's logo, a chubby lady holding a rack of fries.

"Sure Macy" I sighed as I took a seat in front of her, as she put some fries on a plate.

"You look a bit glum sweet chick, what happened?" she asked.

"Macy your gonna be bored to death with my story, trust me you don't wanna hear it," I said as I chuckle to myself, thinking to myself what a mess I have gotten myself into.

"The only story that could bore me to death, is when you told me that chicken story EVERY SINGLE TIME YOU CAME HERE but thank god you stopped when you hit your double digits" she laughed as she pushed the plate of chips towards me.

"Hey! That story was legendary!" I smiled as I chuck a chip into my mouth.

"Come on missy, spill your beans," she said.

"Josh's friend from Penn State, has feelings for me and he kissed me today and Josh saw and it's all a big mess cause Josh ran off and-" I ranted but soon interrupted by Macy.

"Calm down sweet chicks, how long have you been driving around?" she asked me. I showed up 2 fingers as I ate more chips.

"Let me give you some advice. When you find him, be completely honest with him and be straightforward. Don't ramble on like a honking duck, take a deep breath in and talk. He'll listen, that boy is an angel no one deserves him" she said as she put some whipped cream on my milkshake.

"I just don't wanna lose him," I said as I drank my milkshake.

"Just be honest and loving, the key to a good relationship" she smiled as she leaned against the counter. 

"Thanks, Macy for your advice, I think I know where to find him" I nodded as I finished my milkshake and fries.

"Good luck kiddo" she smiled as she put her hand on top of mine. I gave her a smile and dashed outside to my car, to drive to the football bleachers at our high school.

I reach my parking spot and get out, grabbing my phone and slowly walking to the bleachers. I see a figure sitting at the highest bleacher, the wind blowing through his hair. I sigh with relief, knowing that he is okay. I climb up all the way and sit next to him.

"Hey," I said. He doesn't look at me and keeps gazing out at the empty field.

"Josh let me explain," I said again grabbing his arm and turning him around to me.

"Go on," he said, his voice filled with pain. 

"When I was apologizing to him, he kissed me. I didn't kiss him back" I said. He looked over at me and looked back at the empty stadium.

"Karma for me right?" chuckled Josh, remembering the video of the girl and him. I breathed out with relief as he laughed.

"But we both did the right thing, we both didn't kiss them back," I said as the night settles into the sky.

"Cause we-" he says, waiting for me to finish the sentence.

"Love each other" I sighed. His hand finds my shoulders and my head leans on his shoulder.

"We just attract too many people" grinned Josh as he plays with my hair. I chuckle at what he said.

"What are you gonna do with you and Nick?" I asked, turning my head to look at him.

"I'll talk to him, he's my dorm room buddy so I can't stay mad at him, forever," he said.

"I always kind of knew he liked you, like the way he looked at you. I was always jealous of you and him, I thought you liked him but-" he started.

"Josh, I feel like I have told you this so many times but I LOVE YOU," I said to him.

"Baby Y/n used the L-word" he chuckled.

"I've said it better nutjob" I smiled.

"But this time it hit different," he said. He turns to me and our lips meet, my body feels like a match has lit itself on fire. The warmth and the exhilaration cover my body like a hug as I kiss him.  

a/n: i feel like I haven't been appreciating the amount of reads on this book and the first book, soooo THANK YOU! tbh i started this book expecting 1 read but it actually turned out to be read by some people and I really do appreciate all the reads even though I don't mention it enough! anyways i hope you liked this chapter, pls do comment story ideas, questions and comments! always remember to vote and share!
