"I can't believe teacher picked me to do this." You said as you grabbed the marker. Your teacher picked you to make the posters for the upcoming prom. She gave you the print outs of it and now it was your job to write them down on the giant sheets. Your handwriting was very famous in the school. All the teachers and students loved it and that is why your teacher and especially your principal suggested you to make the posters. Speaking of prom, you were never excited about it. Like how other girls would go shopping for the prom besides you. It's not that you didn't wanted to go, it's just that you didn't know who to go with. No one asked you out since you were a bit of a nerd. Not that you hear glasses or something but you were just very good at studies.

You didn't even bother asking any guy to be your prom date. It was weird and awkward for you. You use to spend the prom nights at home, watching movies or mostly doing something productive. Currently you were the only one in the class. Others were busy with teachers. Helping them decorate the main hall and other parts of school. The bell rang signaling that it was lunch break. You sighed as you peeked outside your class. Everyone was going to the cafeteria besides you. A bit about your personality is that you were a very quiet person and that is why you don't have friends. You tried to change yourself but in the end you couldn't. Because no matter how much we try to change it won't work. We are who we are. Anyway... You went back in the class and looked at all the stuff that was there. You couldn't leave it all alone. Thinking that someone might ruin your hard work.

You peeked out of the class again and found Jace looking at his phone and standing against the locker surrounded by girls. He was not even paying any attention to them but they were all going crazy over his looks. It was true he was a very good looking man indeed and sadly he was your cold crush. The person you love the most never even paid a glance at you. For a few years you tried to confess but seeing how he never paid attention to any girl made you lose hope. Your feelings soon started to fade. They were not fully gone, they were hiding somewhere inside your heart. You walked up to him, this time without hesitation or fear because you knew he would not like you back or anything. "Hey, Jace. Can I talk to you for a second?" You stepped back after saying that without fully making eyes contact with him. The girls gave you a weird look before whispering stuff to each other. You didn't care because you were used to it.

He walked up to you leaving the girls shook. He came inside the room where you were. "What do you want?" His cold and emotionless voice echoed in the room. "Can you stay here for a while? I am starving and I can't leave this stuff alone." He looked at what you were working on. "Why not? It's not that important." He rolled his eyes. You sighed before speaking. "You wanna do it or not? I am very hungry and I am not in the mood to start an argument over this small thing." You were starting to lose your temper. Jace was taken aback at how you talked to him. He was used to you being shy around him but today you were different. "Okay fine." He sat down in front of your work. You quickly left. Running to the cafeteria to get your lunch. You came back with your food and saw Jace sitting where you left him but his time those same girls were standing around him like bees.

You rolled your eyes before placing your food down on the table. The girls gave you a disgusting look. "Thank you. If you want you can go now. I'll be working on these posters again." Jace looked up from his phone and stood up. He saw your grab a marker instead of eating your lunch. "Come on Jace lets leave this nerd alone." One of the girls said. Jace looked at them in disbelief and then he looked at you, who stayed unbothered. You scoffed and Jace saw that. One of the girls tugged onto his arm trying to pull him out of the room. He pushed the girl away while others were left dumbfounded. You didn't bother to see what drama was going on since you had given up. "Leave me alone." His cold tone echoed in the room again. The girls quickly left as he said that. He grabbed a marker and began to help you. "What are you doing?" He looked at you with puppy eyes which you never saw before but they sure were doing their job.
