You were sitting in a cafe waiting for someone to arrive. That someone was definitely not someone ordinary. It was your best friend, Jace. You both decided to hangout after long time. Ever since Jace started dating, Max. His life changed a bit. Not that Max was a bad person but he started spending more time with her. Max was your classmate. You knew her well and so did she. You were very excited to meet Jace after long time even though you were in the same school yet you couldn't spend time together. He would stick with Max the whole time and it was weird for you to butt in.

You looked at your phone and sighed. Jace was nowhere to be found. It was already night. You have been waiting for him for an hour now. You were starting to feel useless. You were definitely pissed. You wasted your time on him again. As you got out of the cafe you saw a familiar figure getting out of the car.

"Hey y/n!!" It was Jace. He quickly got out of his car and ran to you. "Do you see the time?" You rolled your eyes. "Ah. I got caught up with few things." He scratched the back of his neck and let out a nervous laugh. "You have any idea how long I waited?" He just looked down. Feeling guilty. "Look I'm really sorry. Come on let's go inside and catch up on what we have missed out." He gave a nervous smile while hoping for you to give him another chance. "I am going back home. I am tired of waiting for you. Ever since you have started dating Max you have forgotten that we were best friends."

Jace was taken off guard as he saw the anger in your eyes. "Max didn't had anything to do with this. I know I messed up and I am here now." His calm tone and a small smile for some reason looked fake to you. "Max is not the problem. I am glad you both are a couple but I don't to be used again. I have been used my whole life. For once I thought my best friend won't use me and that is when you disappointed me. Next time only plan to meet me when you are totally free. I don't want to wait like an idiot." You walked away after snapping at him.

"You were being used because of the type of girl you are!" He yelled making you stop on your track. You never thought he would point finger at your character. Your own best friend was not speaking like others. The one person you trusted just said something that changed everything. Jace saw you back facing him. He mentally slapped himself. He never meant those words. It was just anger talking. He saw you turn to him. You felt weak on the inside but you had to show him that you were strong.

He saw your tears slip down. It truly broke him. He slowly took steps towards you. As he got closer to you, you stepped back. "Y/n...I-" you stopped him right there. "Don't...You have said enough. For once I thought someone was loyal and caring towards me and I was wrong...again." You quickly wiped away your tears. "I honestly never-" "Who gave you the right to point finger at my character?! Sure you are my best friend... Wait...You WERE my best friend. But you don't have the right to say that! You have known me since kindergarten and you say this!" He was biting his lower lip as he knew he messed things up a lot.

He knew you every well. He knew you were pure and never did anything that would disappoint anyone yet he said that. "I never wanna see you again." With that you ran away. He tried stopping you but he lost his voice. He decided to follow you. He had a feeling that you and him can be back together as best friends again...

You were walking on the side of the road. While Jace started his car. Your body went numb. You just lost one person you loved...trusted...cared for the most. Your eyes were blurry as you kept on crying without any expressions. Jace on the other hand, was trying to find you in the crowded road. His eyes soon landed on you who was crossing the road. He sighed in relief as he found you. He quickly got out of his car, he saw a car hit you right in front oh his eyes. Everything went silent. You were laying on the road unconscious. He felt his heart stop.

He picked you up and saw the most frightening sight. You had lost lots of blood but someone there called the ambulance right on time. Jace was like a body without soul. Tears kept on flowing.
