Time for a trip~

You sat down after closing your suitcase as you were done packing. You let out a long sigh a you stretched your hands. You were beyond excited to go on a trip to the woods. You and your friends were not going camping, instead you all booked a resort right in front of the lake which was covered with green mountains. It was going to be so healing and peaceful. Your phone beeped, indicating that you got a message. You took your phone and smiled as you it was from your best friend, Jace. He was you friend for a year now and you both got close pretty fast.

It was most definitely hard for you to not like him more than friends and you did try your best but it was no use. You liked him the first time you saw him and now it was too late as you found that he treats you only as a friend and nothing more. It broke your heart but you were happy that you had an incredible friend like him. You let it all go thinking that it was not meant to me...

As you opened your phone you read his text.
"Yo. Are you done packing? I am so lazy to pack so I asked Xander to do it for me😜"
You giggled at his silliness and replied him.
"Yup. Just finished it. I can't believe he agreed to do it for you. He is a great brother."
You teased him. Both of you kept on talking for a while until your eyes landed on the clock. You softly gasped as you saw the time. It was late and you had to get up early for your trip tomorrow.

You laid down under the covers and turned the lights off. Slowly drifting off to your dreamland. Soft moon light entering your room while the spring breeze blew outside making the whole night beautiful.

You woke up as you heard your alarm ring. It was too loud. You quickly turned it off and closed your eyes for a minute and quickly got out of bed with full enthusiasm. After taking a long nice shower you made yourself breakfast. Then brought your bags out to the living room. You waited for Jace to arrive. Till then you checked all your belongings. You soon heard the doorbell. "Coming!" You ran to the door and opened it. Revealing Jace, standing in his gray hoodie with his blue jeans. His messy yet soft hair made him look even more handsome. You passed a smile. "Hey. I was waiting for you. Let me get my bags." He smiled before walking inside your apartment.

"Leave it. I'll take these you just take you bag." He pulled your luggage with him without letting you think twice. You grabbed your bag and ran after him, closing the door behind you. You checked it once if it was locked or not. Till then Jace kept your luggage in his car. "Let's go?" He looked at you and you nodded with a grin. He giggled and got inside the car with you on the passenger seat.

He started driving. "Josh and Alex said they will meet us there. So let's head straight there. Or you wanna stop somewhere and get coffee?" His eyes landed on you before looking back on the road. "No let's go straight there. I'm not in the mood for coffee." He hummed and played some songs. Both of started singing. It soon turned into carpool karaoke. You both laughed and sang the whole way and soon you reached your destination.

"We won!!" Alex, your best friend yelled as she saw your car pull up. You playfully rolled your eyes and got out while Jace did the same. "I didn't know we were racing?" Jace asked as he got his and your luggage out of the car. "We were never racing." Josh, Jace's best friend, who was Alex's boyfriend spoke as he came out of the house after keeping the luggage. "Jace your buddy is so scared of high speed." Alex teased him while he rolled his eyes and snaked his arm around her waist. "Stop fighting. We are here to have fun not fight." You spoke as you walked inside the house, the rest of them followed you.

"Let's decide our-" As you were speaking you saw Alex and Josh leaving the house while giggling. On there way to the lake. You sighed. "Is it too late to say that it was a bad idea to come with them? I mean it was better if we came here without them." You laughed as Jace giggled after he said that. "You are not wrong." He nodded and looked around. "Well good for us. We can pick our favorite room." Jace ran up the stairs leaving you dumbfounded. "HEY!!" You ran after him while he went inside a room and you followed him. You saw him standing there. You looked at his face.
