Miley's POV

"Hey Jessica, are you ready for your party?" I walk into Jessica and Cecilia's room to find Jessica sitting on her bed.

"Yeah."

"What's that face for? You graduated yesterday, everybody is celebrating how incredibly smart you are. Today's a great day!"

"I know, and I'm happy for today. I really am." She says, looking unsure.

"Then why don't you look it?"

"I haven't heard back from Julliard yet. I got my letters from Harvard and Stanford but I haven't gotten anything from Julliard. I applied forever ago."

"Hey, don't let that get you down. I'm sure you'll hear from them very soon." I hug her and stand up. "Let's go celebrate, so put on your party face."

"Okay." Jessica says with a smile.

"That's more like it."

We walked into the backyard where Liam, Cecilia, Leonardo, and Cody were. Liam was just finishing decorating the backyard for the party.

"You didn't have to decorate ya know. When I said I wanted a party I meant family, close friends, and cake."

"You only graduate from high school once, we're making this a big deal." Liam says. "Hey, wait a minute, something isn't right."

"What is it babe?" I ask.

"Jessica doesn't look happy enough."

"She's just thinking about Julliard."

"Hey, it's their loss if you don't get in. They'll be missing out the most talented student ever."

"Thanks dad."

"You got accepted to Harvard and Stanford, why do you need to be accepted from Julliard too?" Cecilia asks Jessica.

"Julliard is my dream, I've wanted to go there since I fell in love with the piano. Harvard and Stanford are in case I don't get accepted from Julliard, it'd be incredibly dumb to only apply to one college...right mom?"

"Jessica it was a fricking TV show, and in the end I got accepted anyway." I tell her.

"Yeah cause you took off your wig."

"Okay sure, but that was TV, this is real life. Whatever happens with Julliard remember that you are talented no matter what. I'm sure they'll love your application."

"They're probably just busy Jessica, they probably haven't even read your letter yet. Don't worry, I've got a feeling you'll get in." Liam says. I pull him to the side.

"Liam, don't fucking say that." I whisper. "Don't tell her that."

"Well she needs to hear it."

"No, what she needs to hear is "they'll love your application", not "you'll get in". Please don't tell her that. Especially not today."

"Alright, I'm sorry." He apologizes. "She just needs to cheer up before people get here."

"Just don't go promising shit like that."

"I won't, you're right. I shouldn't tell her that. So when do you wanna give Jessica her graduation present?"

"Ooo, what'd ya get me?" Jessica asks, walking up to Liam and me.
