Good Feeling

Miley's POV

"Happy birthday Jessy! I can't believe you're ten." Noah says, walking through the door into the backyard. She hugs Jessica tight and hands her a present.

"Thanks aunt Noah!"

"Jessica go put that on the table, it's not time to open presents yet." I say. Jessica walks to the outdoor table and puts her present down with all the others. 

"When can I open my presents?"

"Well everyone is here, why not now?" I suggest. Jessica nods excitedly and runs back to the gifts.

After Jessica opened gifts we had cake. She was happy with her day and everyone had a good time. By the time everyone left, the only guests that were still here were Noah, Ethan, and Logan.

"Thanks for coming you guys, Jessica really enjoyed having you here." I say.

"Well I'm still upset we didn't come for the twins' birthday." Noah says, but I shake my head.

"You're fine, the kids understood."

"They're all growing up so fast."

"I know, the twins being in first grade, Jessy being in forth..."

"Just a couple more years and Jessy will be in middle school, chasing after boys."

"Uh, she'll be in middle school but not after boys." Liam says, walking up to Noah and me. I roll my eyes and Liam scoffs. "Well she won't be."

"Liam she's gonna be in middle school, she'll chase after boys if she wants. We can't stop her."

"We can if we home school her."

"Liam." I say seriously. "I know she's your little girl, but she's growing up. All of the kids are."

"So, how's your music coming along Miley?" Noah asks, switching the subject. Liam sighs and walks away. I told everyone in both my family and Liam's, they're all happy for me and think it's great. I told them all to not talk about it or say anything because I want it to be a surprise for everyone. I didn't tell Emma or August either, only family knows.

"It's going great. I've got maybe a little over half the album written but only a few songs recorded. I'm using some of the songs I've written a while back so I don't have to worry about writing a lot more."

"So what's the album gonna be like?"

"Well I don't wanna really say a lot, but Liam's seen some songs and he thinks they're good. Except there's a couple for Liam that I haven't shown him."

"Ooo, can I see them?"

"No, they're kinda special and I want them to be a surprise. A lot of the album is inspired by Liam though." I answer.

"Are you collaborating with anyone?"

"No. Well, one person. The whole album is basically just me, but I've got a song that isn't right without the person I've already contacted and sent the song to."

"Oh my god and you're not gonna tell me?"

"Don't worry Noah, she doesn't tell a lot of us anything." Liam says, walking up to us again.

"Liam, shut up. Go talk with Ethan about guy stuff or something."

"Actually Ethan asked me to come tell you girls that it's time to go home. Logan is getting tired and upset."
