Miley's POV

"I'm sure Jessica, I'm fine." I felt another pain, this one felt all too familiar. "Fuck."

"What? What is it?"

"Dammit...I think I'm in labor."

"Oh my god! Should I go get dad?"

"No no, you stay there. I'll go tell him. But I'm not going to the hospital just yet." I say.

"Um, why? Typically when a woman goes into labor that means hospital."

"No, it's way too soon. The contractions aren't even close together and my water hasn't broken, I'm fine for now."

"Don't yell at me when you have to give birth at home or in the car. Not really the cleanest places to have a baby."

"I didn't go to the hospital until after my water broke with all of my pregnancies. I didn't even hardly feel any contractions before that happened too. Jessica, I'll be fine. Now you just rest while I go tell dad- hmm...maybe I shouldn't."

"What? Now you're just not making any sense whatsoever. Mom, labor is making you crazy." She says.

"No, if I tell your dad now he'll freak out and wanna go to the hospital. I'm not staying in the hospital longer than I have to."

"If dad asks me I'm telling him, I don't lie. Not even for you, no offense."

"And I'm glad for that, you should never lie. But you don't have to tell him unless he asks. And why would he ask if I'm in labor?"

"Because he's standing right behind you..." I turn around and sure as shit, Liam is standing right behind me.

"Oh, hey babe. I was just gonna go tell you."

"Mhm, sure. Okay, you call someone and I'll go grab the hospital bag-"

"No, no no no no. No."

"No?" Liam asks.

"See Jessica? I told you."

"Nope, I'm not getting into this. I'm gonna just lay here and be sick."

"Miley, we need to go to the hospital."

"No." I refuse. "Not yet."

"Why not yet?"

"Because my contractions are too far apart and my water hasn't broke yet. They'll just say to go home and wait til I'm further along."

"Every other time you told me you were in labor we went to the hospital right away." He replies. "Explain that one."

"Every other time I told you I was in labor my water had already broke. I hardly felt contractions before my water broke every time. Except this time, I'm definitely feeling the contractions."

"Okay but I just don't want you to have to deliver the baby in the car or house. I want you to be in the hospital and I want you to be comfortable."

"I'll be more comfortable at home than in the hospital way longer than I need to be. Once the contractions are closer together or my water breaks, that's when we'll go." I say. "Liam I'm fine."

"Okay, you tell me if anything changes."

"I will, I promise."

"Mom dad can we go to the park?" Cecilia asks after she and Leonardo run up to us.

"No, we can't go to the park today. I have to be home with mom."

"Aw but could we please? We promise we'll be good!"
