"Drop to 2600, heading to 030," Steve told Sam. "I hope you're right about this, or we're gonna land a lot faster than you want to," Sam said, flipping a few switches. We were flying straight at a rainforest. Why we needed to go there was beyond me. Steve said we would know when we got there.
Suddenly, a force field faded away to reveal a prosperous city. The quinjet landed as a group of people, most carrying spears, approached the quinjet. The hatch opened, and we all shuffled off, me behind Natasha and Steve. "Seems like I'm always thanking you for something," Steve said to a dark-skinned man with a beard and strange robes, shaking his hand. Bruce cleared his throat, and bowed, Rhodey casting him a strange look.
"Oh, we--we don't do that here," The man said. "Where is here?" I asked. "You are in Wakanda. I don't believe we've met," The man said. "I'm Tanya," I said. "My name is King T'Challa," He said, and I bowed my head in respect.
"So, how big of an assault should we be expecting?" He asked Steve. "Uh, sir, sir, I think you should expect quite a big assault," Bruce stuttered. "How we looking?" Natasha asked. "You have my kingsguard, The Border Tribe, The Dora Milaje, and..." He said. He gestured to a long-haired man with a metal arm approaching us.
"And a semi-stable 100-year-old man," He said, and Steve hugged him, patting his back. "How've you been, Buck?" Steve asked. "Not bad, for the end of the world," Buck replied. T'Challa gestured for us to follow him, and we did.
"One moment I'm asleep in bed, and the next moment I'm half-way across the world trying to save said world with a couple of knives, a bow, and 6 arrows," I muttered to myself. Buck overheard me. "Life's like that sometimes," He told me. "And I wish it weren't," I replied.
"What's all this?" He asked, gesturing towards my gear. "It's my assassin's gear," I said. "You're an assassin?" He asked. "I was an assassin. I never asked for that life," I corrected. "No one does, but it happens anyway. How did you get mixed up in that life?" He asked.
"I got kidnapped by the leader of a race heck-bent on revenge and trained to kill a king. You?" I asked. "I was also kidnapped, but by a rogue Nazi organization and turned into a weapon," He answered. "Assassin backstories are weird," I muttered, shaking my head. "What's your name?" He asked after a while. "Tanya, you?" I replied.
"My name's Bucky,"
