Chapter 32: Promise

Hermione.

"Hermione. Wake up." I felt a little nudge on my side, yawning a bit I opened my eyes my blurry vision suddenly fixed when I saw Remus in front of me. "Remus." My voice came out raspy. "Here have some water."

A full glass of water has been shoved into my hands which I drank greedily, it seemed like my mouth was longing for water. I took a deep breath then I looked at Remus. "How's everyone?" I asked, Remus smiled tenderly, I felt relieved that he was back to normal.

"Well, Neville broke two bones jumping in the basilisk's back and Harry broke an ankle. Padma and Ginny were brought to a goblin healer but, they obtained no scratches." I furrowed my eyebrows, "Goblin healer?" I asked, Remus nodded, that was the first time I heard that. Remus nodded, "what's the difference between the two?" Remus chuckled, sitting at the side of my bed, "I knew you'd ask that."

"Well, a wizard healer doesn't specialize in mind healing, or therapy. I wanted to make sure that none of you are traumatized for the rest of your lives." I nodded, looking at him curiously, I bit my lip before asking, "so Harry was put into that too?" Remus nodded, patting my head, "just to make sure that everything will be fine. The first session is today actually maybe you can join them after you regain your strength."

The last thing I remembered was putting the book beside me and the snake's huge fangs. "What happened to me?" I asked, "the fang managed to penetrate your skin but it just managed to make you unconscious." Remus smiled, patting my head. "I called Dan and Emma, don't worry they will be here soon." I nodded, beaming at him. "I'll leave you know and I'll get the others, you rest okay?"

"Remus?" He turned back to me, smiling. "Yes Lil--Hermione?"

"Who was responsible for this?" Remus sighed, "I think that it's best if you don't know, Hermione." He smiled, "but do not fret Uncle Moony has it all under control." I nodded, as he turned back and went outside. I took a deep breath looking up at the ceiling.

I have to admit that was the most reckless week of my life, and I can't even recall all of it. It was all a blur, "Hermione!" Padma's voice rang in the room as she rushed and hugged me with all of her might. The four of us has been stuck in our little world lately, maybe it's time that we expand the friendship that we could offer to the other houses. I might have to talk to the three about that. We only have one friend that is in another house, Padma.

"Hey," I grinned. "You alright?" Padma nodded, rushing towards me giving me a tight hug. "What did Moony say? Are you alright? Oh." She looks at me with worried eyes. "Harry's been crazy, lately I think he's having nightmares about what happened to you."

Poor Harry, he might think that all of this was his fault. "Where is Harry?" I asked, I wanted to give him a hug, tell him that everything will be okay. I don't want him to isolate himself and blame himself for everything.

It was not his choice anyway, none of this was ever his choice. Padma started to brush my hair with her fingers, carefully and gently making me lean over her shoulder. "He's still being observed by the healers, Moony is thinking about bringing the three of you to a Goblin Healer."

"I think that would be best." I replied, I
I sighed, I wonder what it's like to have those Goblin Healers all over me? Were they nice? Are they like normal therapists? I just wish they weren't scary just like what normal therapist were described to me. "When did Moony say I'll be out of here again?"

"He didn't mention it to me, Sorry Mione, but I heard your parents will be here." Well, he did mention it to my parents. I can only imagine how worried they are right now.

Well, of course, tell them that your daughter faced a giant snake who else wouldn't worry? A knock on the door made us both turn our heads, opening it. "Hermione!"

As soon as he said that, I felt Harry's arms wrapped around me. "You're safe! Oh gosh. You're safe." He almost sobbed, I laughed softly, playing with his soft strand of hair. "It's okay, Harry We're all safe."

He buried his face in my chest sobbing softly, I didn't like seeing him like this she looks so vulnerable and sad. I hugged him back as tight as he did. "I promise I will never leave you, okay? I'll always be here."

"Promise?"

I smiled, nodding resting my head on his shoulder.

"I promise."
