divine, graceful, poised, pretty

these are the things I wish I could be

but I'm not

I want to be like her

her soft hair, smooth scales, bright tail

makes me jealous

I want to be her best friend

she is shining in the spotlight with me in the background

that's how I like it to be

unnoticed, alone

I heard her singing with her sisters

beautiful, soft

I wish I could do that

wishing won't get me anywhere

she's too perfect

her personality is like seaweed

wrapping me up, begging me to stay

but I don't want to

I am jealous, bitter, angry

there is no reason

she doesn't deserve it

I do

she gave me her necklace

shiny, unique, special

I am her best friend

I am happier

she empathizes with me

I feel relieved

less jealous, bitter, angry

I have a heart

so does she
