The Umbrella (Skrillex × Deadmau5) (MS)

[MS means Mini Shot. These are just quick ideas that popped in my head. Also I established a new system. At the beginning of every chapter, I will put symbols to represent it's genre. 'XXX'  will mean smut, '♡♡♡' will mean fluff, and '♡X♡' will mean fluff with light smut.]

Winters for Joel were always mundane, especially when he wasn't touring or making new music. Yet, Sonny was always there to make his day, you know, sunny. They decided, well mostly Sonny, to go to the mall for something to do during a boring day. 

     Joel and Sonny walked around the mall, occasionally buying something from the many shops.

"Hey, Joel," Sonny called.

"Hm?" Joel hummed.

"Can I have a coin?" Sonny asked innocently.

"Why?"

"So I can toss in the fountain," Joel gave him a weird look before speaking up.

"You know those things aren't real, right?" Joel asked.

"I know, but I really wanna do one. Can I?" Sonny gazed at Joel with his mocha eyes.

"Fine, but be quick." Joel declaimed. He gave Sonny a dime before he ran off to a nearby fountain. Joel sat down at a cench and watched Sonny hold the coin to his chest and mumble very quietly. He then tossed the coin into the water and sat next to Joel.

"What'd you wish for?" Joel asked.

"I'm not saying," Sonny giggled. The light blush crept onto Joel's face, he looked away while Sonny glanced around at passersby and the shops. 

"Joel!" Sonny gasped loudly. Joel quickly looked towards Sonny's directions and saw him pointing at a booth with a bunch of stuffed animals and huge plushies.

"Can I?" His smile was contagious, no matter how much self control Joel had, he couldn't resist his adorable smile.

"Yes. . ." Joel sighed. Sonny grabbed Joel's wrist and pulled him to the booth. 

"Which one can we get?" Sonny asked.

"I don't know, I don't care for stuffed animals." Joel bluntly answered him. 

"Damnit, I forgot my phone in the car," Joel digged in his pockets and pulled out a $50 bill.

"Buy whatever you want, I'll be back." He gave the dollar to Sonny and ran off the entrance. 
     Sonny admired the giant plushies and candy on display. He knows that it's directed at kids but he couldn't help his child at heart.

"Can I help you?" The booth keeper asked Sonny.

"Can I get that Mickey Mouse headband and umbrella," Sonny tried to say it as quietly as possible to not draw suspicion of his childish taste, but in reality he's still young at heart.

     Once he received the headband, he put it on his head snug. He proceeded to buy a keychain bunny, a small backpack with a bumblebee on it, and a medium sized plush of a duckling, as well as a cherry lollipop. He walked across the mall towards the entrance with the accessories on, people stared but he didn't care. He then waited for Joel to come through the entrance, minutes later Joel walked in. He looked at Sonny for a while before speaking up.

"Sonny, what in the blue hell are you wearing?" Joel inquired. 

"Stuff I bought," Sonny told him. 

"I know that but what are you wearing?" Joel asked again.

"A Mickey Mouse headband, a bee backpack, a bunny keychain, and also, I bought a duckling plush!" Sonny smiled softly.

"A Mickey Mouse headband?" Joel asked.

"Do you not like it? I bought it 'cause it reminded me of you," Sonny's voice was brittle. His shiny brown eyes made Joel feel bad, he tried to think of a comeback.

"No, no, I love it. It's really thoughtful of you," Joel smiled softly. 

"Your welcome!" Sonny hugged Joel tightly and dug his face into Joel's jacket. Joel hugged Sonny back awkwardly but he didn't mind it.

"Come on! Let's go home, I'm exhausted!" Sonny complained.

"You barely did anything," Joel told Sonny.

"I'm still tired," Sonny said.

"It's raining outside, you don't just happen to buy an umbrella, do you?" Joel inquired.

"Actually, I did!" Sonny grabbed his bright yellow backpack and pulled out a Mickey Mouse umbrella. Joel instantly regretted what he said.

     They walked outside with the umbrella over them, Sonny is just happy while Joel feels embarrassed. 

"Is this the only umbrella you have?" Joel asked.

"If you don't like it, then stand in the rain instead!" Sonny persisted. They made their way to the car and got inside. 

     As Joel drove, he saw Sonny asleep with his headband still on. The dim light from the sky reflected off Sonny's raven black hair. Joel glanced at Sonny's empty hand, reached over with his hand and held it tightly. Joel never liked to show any affection with others around, but when him and Sonny are alone together, he shows all the affection he can to him.
