The blinding rays of the bright sun illuminated the room, whilst snickering from the particular ghosts echoed through the walls.
Your brows twitched, but as you tried to ignore the hushed jeers from them, they just kept getting louder and louder.
“Heeheehee... Don't you two have to be up to clean the school?”
You breathed in slowly trying to calm your nerves from lashing out at the ghosts and murdering them again.
‘It's the Michael Jackson ghosts again.’
Opening your eyes, you were greeted by the blinding light from he sun rays and three faces of the three ghosts right in front of your face.
“Laze about too long and you'll never wake up again.”
“Just like us! Heehee!”
“Why are you all ruining my sleep!?” You loudly asked, although not yelling.
Grim groaned, sitting up groggily as he rubbed his eyes from sleepiness. “Why are you so loud early in the morning, human…?” Then as his vision cleared, he turned to your direction only to be greeted by three mischievous ghosts. His eyes widened in shock. “Gyah! It's those ghosts again!” He scurried off from his side of the bed and to your arms.
You can feel him shaking.
‘Tch, stupid ghosts ruining my beauty sleep.’
“Are you all going to be living here? You're gonna get pranked so bad. Kekeke!”
Grim glared at the ghosts, still in your grasp. “We're gonna get you next time!” But that just made the ghosts laugh harder.
You took a deep breath. ‘It's too early for this shit.’ And faced the ghosts.
“You three,” The ghosts faintly flinched hearing the tone of your voice. “You do know it's very early, right?” The three gulped and nodded. “And you do know that I've been tired ever since last night, right?” Then again they nodded solemnly. “So, what were you thinking doing this whilst I was catching my sleep?”
“We're very sorry, Ma'am!” The plump one bowed, followed by the other two.
“Yes, yes! It won't happen again!” The short one continued.
“Consider this the last time, Ma'am!” The tall one finished.
Looking at them, you nodded. “That's all I wanted to hear. I don't have a problem about you three staying here just don't interrupt my sleep, okay?”
The ghosts stood up and sighed in unison, they turned to you ans smiled. “Yes, ma'am!” Then they dissipated into thin air.
But as you were about to lie down on the, surprisingly, soft bed a loud booming noise echoed through the dorm. Your bedroom door opened and the figure of Crowley emerged, greeting you with a smile.
“Good morning, you two. Did you sleep well?” He asked brightly.
“Headmaster Crowley, please knock first before you enter here, it's still a girl's room, you know?” You pointed out, the masked man nodded, understanding of your request.
Grim groaned and scuttered out from your arms. “I was sprawled out then fell out the bottom! Just how ramshackle did you let this place get? Then the ghosts woke me up, this is the worst!” He started rambling on about the ghosts.
You rolled your eyes at his nature. “Must only be you, I slept quite just fine– like a log, actually.”
“Even though you just got tossed from another world you can still be cheeky, how wonderful!” He was very chipper, which surprised you since it is early morning but assumed that it was just his general persona. “I came to speak to you about your work for today.” He turned to the door, beckoning for Grim to follow him. “We'll wait for you in the lounge whilst you get ready.” Grim grumbled and followed behind the headmaster begrudgingly.
You sighed as the door closes, stretching out your limbs and started getting ready for today.
After quite a while, you already showered and dressed and already brushed your hair and teeth, all done in just fifteen minutes, which is the fastest you've done.
You ran down to meet the two waiting in the lounge.
“Today you are to clean the campus. Yet, the campus is quite inordinate in size that cleaning it all without magic is impossible.” He started. “So, I'd like you to the clean Main Street to the main gate to the library. Understood?
You nodded. “Yes, sir.”
“And please watch Grim closely so he doesn't cause a scene like yesterday.”
You glanced down at the raccoon cat, and felt your head ache just the thought of him wreaking havoc again.
“Although, it would be difficult, I'll do my best to keep him out of trouble. However, I couldn't guarantee that something bad won't happen so I apologise in advance.” You bowed.
Crowley smiled at your manners and nodded. “I'm counting on you. You have permission to have lunch in the school cafeteria. I bid you good luck on your work.” He turned around and walked out of the dorm.
Grim frowned and clicked his tongue as he began to whine. “Tsk, no way I'm doing any cleaning. I wanna go to class and use a bunch of awesome spells like BAM! AND BOOM BOOM BOOM!”
“We can just go to the library and study there, only after cleaning of course.” You tried to cheer him up but he still muttered under his breath. “Think optimistically, Grim!”
