The air felt so stuffy, the breeze was warm and as if carrying small bits of dust and rocks that bumps on your skin.

“What is this…?”

Now, you were in a desert, animals surrounding you, all looking at the same direction, the direction of the huge rock in front of you.

‘Pride Rock?’ You thought to yourself, staring ahead, as the animals recreated one of the most iconic scenes from The Lion King.

The baboon then held up the lion cub. His parents– the lion and the lioness– stood proudly behind, watching in fondness.

The animals then collectively bowed their heads down, showing their full respect for the family of lions ruling over the barren land.

Then it all faded to black.

Ramshackle Dorm – Your Room

“Boom! And crash! Nyanya!” Grim's loud voice echoed through the silent, thin walls of the room. “How’s that… d’ya finally know how strong Grim is…”

You looked to your side, and there laid the cat, talking loudly in his sleep. You huffed, stretching your arms and trying to relief the tenseness on your back and shoulders, sighing in delight when you hear their satisfying cracks.

“Grim.” You turned to the cat and shook his tiny body. It did nothing. You did it again. “Grim, wake up.” You said a bit louder this time, still nothing. “Grim, wake up or I will throw away your whole stash of canned tunas!”

His eyes fluttered open. “I defeated that tyrant Riddle. Wha— huh? Ramshackle Dorm?” His brows furrowed, looking around the room in a haze. “Oh, man, it was just a dream… I thought I could make Riddle my lackey now… how disappointing.” He sighed, wholly disappointed.

“He's too out of reach from your grasp of magic.” You replied, yawning. “I'm gonna take a short shower, you get ready.”

Turning your body to the edge of your bed, you planted your feet on the the cold floor. You stood up and walked away from the warm, comforting bed of yours and to the bathroom.

Grim was already done and ready as you walked out of the steaming bathroom already dressed and with your cloak on but not with the hood up. Grim was staring at you, wide eyes.

“What?” You pointedly asked him, wanting to get this over with so you can start the day early and get breakfast.

“I almost forgot you were a girl, I got shocked.” The cat in question shrugged and made his way out of the dorm with you tailing behind. “Alright! Then, let’s go to school so we can learn more about being great magicians!” He was in his cheerful mood quickly.

‘Wonder what is in-store for us today…’

Cafeteria

Your group of first years were trudging to the cafeteria, Grim was complaining about something you weren't really listening to, Ace's eyes were wandering around the area, Deuce was probably the only one who listened to Grim's ramble, even if half-heartedly.

“Ugh… I think the only magic Professor Trein can cast is one that makes his students fall asleep.” Grim ranted. “No matter how hard I struggle, I still end up sleepy!”
