It was dark, very, very dark.

Even though you opened your eyes, you were still blinded by the suffocating darkness of whatever you were in; tight and dark.

You raised your hand up, grazing the wooden top, curling your fingers, you knocked onto it.

It was definitely wood.

You traced the shape of the wooden top, you felt your blood ran cold.

You definitely know where you are in now.

Eyes wide in horror, your hands stop, your entire body froze.

Coffin.

Are you dead? I mean inside definitely yes, but that's not the point here.

Why are you inside a coffin in the first place?

You racked your brain, trying to remember but all you can see  are darkness and trees, and only hearing hooves making clicks as it touch the stone ground.

A forest and a carriage, you were slightly upset at the thought of not seeing the horse but you were mostly concerned about the fact that you were in a coffin.

Then the deafening silence were broken.

“Oh no, this is bad, people are getting close! I gotta wear a uniform, fast…” The voice grunted, it sounded like it was in a hurry. “Nngh! This lid is too heavy. I'm gonna have to use my last resort!”

As it said that there was a burst of blue flames that got the coffin lid off.

“There!”

You sat up slowly being a bit cautious to what caused the flame burst, your eyes skimmed through the dim area you were in, it was very dark, getting only lit up by small numerous green lanterns, what took you by surprise was the floating coffins much like yours.

“Ok, now gotta get…” You made eye contact with a, rather cute, black cat-like raccoon. “Aaah! Why are you up?!”

“Flaming raccoon cat…?” You glanced at its ears which was flaring with blue flames.

“Who are you calling a raccoon!?” He glared. “I am the Great Grim!” The raccoon cat introduced proudly.

“Cute…” You mumbled under your breath, still keeping an eye on the small thing.

It appears he didn't heard that as he goes on, which was very confusing since he is a cat.

“Well, whatever. Hey, human!” You tilted your head. “Hurry and give me those clothes!” You looked down to what you were wearing. “Otherwise I'll roast you!”

Thick, long black robes adorned your petite body. It was intricately designed with golden linings, with the inside of the robe being a rich lavender, the hood was up and shadowed the top part of your face, underneath the thick robes was a black, long sleeved, button up shirt and black pants.

You looked back at the raccoon cat, Grim, with uncertainty.

“This is a bit big for you, don't you think, little raccoon?” Your voice held a teasing tone behind it.

“I'm not a freaking raccoon!” He was getting annoyed and shook his head.

And with that you bolted from the dark room, with the cat right on your tail.

You ran and ran, until you stopped in a large dark room of floating books and some lit green lamps.

“Did you really think you'd get away from my nose? Dumb human!” He grinned. “If you don't wanna get roasted, you better hand over–” He didn't even get to finish his threat as a long cord wrapped around his little body. “Wah! Ow! What's with this cord?”
