"Hey, um I'm sorry I've been ignoring you the past three days, it's just that I'm really embarrassed...I shouldn't have stayed the night, and i don't even know what I've said, but I know that I'm a drunk speaker and I wouldn't stop talking. Um yeah, call me when you get this. Sorry again."

He plasters a sad smile on his face, as he listens to her voice mail.

So she doesn't remember..

"I love you and I want you." A flashback of his confession rolls in his mind. He wasn't sure whether to feel relieved from the pain of rejection or sad for having to keep it more.

"We're enemies..that's impossible." She hates him, and he only acted along; because it was the only excuse to talk to her, the only way to spend time with her.

He takes a deep breath and dials her number. After a few rings she finally picks up.

"Hey!" her voice from the other side.

"Don't worry about that night, I took you to my house so your family wouldn't give you more trouble than you're already in."

"Right. Thanks."

"Right, goodb-"

"Wait!"

"Yes?" He rolls eyes, he cannot take this anymore, this show he's putting on. The bad boy show, the man that doesn't feel anything. It's all fake.

"I'm curious about what we talked about that night. I don't remember, but I remember that I didn't just go straight to bed."

"I love you."

"That's impossible."

"We fought. Like we always do. I got on your nerves and you got on mine." He smiles sarcastically.

"Oh. Well, I'm not surprised." She chuckles through the phone.

"Cool, got to go, bye now." He hangs up without waiting for a response.

Maybe I'm like him, scared of rejection;because I love you too much to lose you. I love you too much to let you break my heart. I love you too much to tell you that it wasn't a joke, and that I love you.
