It was a cold November morning.
Luna and I were in our cell.
Then, we heard a loud boom.
After that, there was screaming.
The cell doors opened.
Luna ran to the yard.
I followed her because I've never gone there before.
I was always locked up behind bars.
Once we entered the yard, we saw a giant tower being burnt.
PSBP was being bombed.
I told Luna my escape route, and we started to escape together.
On our way, we heard screams, cries, and booms.
The prison was under attack.
What I didn't tell you is that we were under a war.
It was the year 2030.
We were under attacked by our neighboring country, Nevada.
This happened in 2022.
One of the 200 prisoners who were guarded by Ace was from Nevada.
Apparently, they made him confess to a murder he did not commit.
After 5 years, he died because of Ace's injury.
All of Nevada was angry and they attacked California.
This was the first time PBSP was under attack.
Luna and I escaped just in time before troops were sent in to kill all the workers of the prison.
We entered the lush green forest.
We ran and ran until we couldn't anymore.
We turned around and saw the prison.
We hadn't run far from it.
It was in ruins.
Ash filled the air and thousands of prisoners, workers, and even the warden was dead.
But we didn't see Ace.
We saw thousands of soldiers.
They shot anyone who was still alive.
The prison had been destroyed.
We had to catch our breath.
We survived the attack.
It was a horrific sight.
Seeing bodies everywhere.
I almost cried, but Luna cheered me up.
Honestly, being with Luna was better than being with my family.
We would have to survive together.
