Excitement grew as Kat went into the bathroom and put the dress on. After she was done, she walked out of the bathroom and showed her friends. They gasped seeing how beautiful Kat was in the dress and knew that they would be able to put Sam's plan in motion. Now people were arriving at Sam's party and Kat was meant to arrive last.

"You look beautiful!" exclaims Devyn as she helped Kat over to the mirror. "Now we're going to get your hair done right now and that way you will look gorgeous!"

For a while that was what the girls were working on. It took almost an hour to finish getting Kat's hair and make up done. Eventually, they had finally finished, and Kat looked ever so lovely.

"There," says Tara. "You look lovely,"

"Enough of this let's get going!" grabbing Kat by the arm, Devyn dragged her to the car and let her climb in. Before they left the house, Devyn reached into the back and pulled out a pair of blue 2-inch heels.

"Devyn this is gorgeous!"

"Thanks, they belong to Tara,"

"Your letting me use your shoes? But we aren't the same size,"

"It doesn't matter, I found one that was way too big for me,"

"You guys are amazing," says Kat as she put the shoes on her feet. Once that was done, the girls made their way to the party.

At the same time, Kat's stepfamily arrived home and immediately knew something was off. Parking the car, Jessica and her daughters got out and walked into the house. They walked throughout the house wondering where Kat had gone. They looked in every single room and could not find her. At that moment, Valerie realized what was going on and got very annoyed. She thought that her plan was completely full proof which kept Kat away from Sam.

"That bitch!" she said causing her sister and mother to turn around and face her.

"What's the matter?"

"Kat snuck out mother, she went to Sam's party!"

"How?! I tore her ticket up!"

"Knowing Kat," says Alice. "Her friend probably got new tickets for the three of them,"

"Mother," says Valerie. "What do we do?"

"Get your dresses on girls, we're going to that party,"

Back at the party, Kat and her friends had just arrived and the party was in a full swing. There were many people excited and having fun. Devyn parked her car and the three of them got out. Tara had already texted Colby and Sam that they had arrived. Their part of the plan was supposed to start immediately, Devyn and Tara walked into Sam's house with Kat as they were making their way through the party the girls saw Sam and Colby walk toward them.

"Kat!" exclaims Sam. "You made it!"

"Sam? Tara and Devyn told me what happened, is it true?"

"Yes," he said. "I have no love for Sophia, she is nothing more than a friend,"

"In that case, I'm sorry for how I reacted," responded Kat. "I just didn't think a guy like you would be interested in me,"

"That's not true, your beautiful, smart and very talented!" says Sam. "To prove it to you, I got a record company coming out to hear you sing,"

"What? But, how?"

"I plucked a few strings and got them to come," he continued. "Now are you ready to prove to them how good of a singer you are?"

Kat nodded and left her friends where they were as Sam led her to the stage in the dance room. In the dance room there were many people dancing and having a good time, Kat's stomach was in knots as she was brought to the stage.

"Ladies and gentlemen!" said Sam into the mic "I have a special guest here for you today," he continued. "Please welcome... Katrina Stuart!" the crowd roared with excitement and claps as Kat climbed on the stage. "I hope that you guys like her music because I know I do," another cheer roared as Sam handed the microphone to Kat. Nervously, Kat took the microphone as Sam walked over to the piano and started playing the music to one of her songs. The rest of the band behind her followed Sam. Taking a deep breath, Kat began to sing a song that she loved the most and wrote when she was just ten years old. Blessed.

As Kat sung the song, her stepfamily had just arrived and saw what was happening. They were shocked that Kat was on stage singing, Jessica wasn't too pleased because she could see everything that she had planned were heading down the drain. Jessica's eyes landed on a man who looked famous. Immediately she knew who the man was, it was a guy who was seeking a recording contract for upcoming singers. Halfway through the song the crowd started to clap and sing along to Kat's song. At the end of the song, Jessica and her daughters walked on stage in anger and in front of the entire audience.

"I'm so sorry that we got into this, Kat shouldn't be on this stage,"

"I'm sorry but what are you talking about," says Sam as he stood from the piano and walked over to Jessica. The crowd went silent as the man who worked for Musicash came on stage. "She's nothing but a servant,"

"I stand corrected, everyone is allowed on this stage no matter who they are," says Sam who was now standing up for Kat. "You have no right to tell her otherwise,"

"I beg your pardon young man, but I'm her guardian and as her guardian she is meant to come home with me!" At that moment the man got on the stage and approached Katrina.

"I hope you don't mind that I interrupt," he said as he turned toward Katrina. "But after listening to you, Ms. Stuart, I would like to offer you a record deal with Musicash," he continued. "I will even throw in some extra money for you to get your own apartment,"

"What? She is Seventeen years old!" defended Jessica. "And as her guardian I decline everything," Sam glared at Jessica and the steps. This was getting out of hand, he wanted his girlfriend to choose her own path, not live like a servant for the rest of her life. Politely taking her arm, he pulled her aside.

"Kat, you don't have to listen to her, from what I can tell she has been very rude to you," he continued. "You have the right to choose what you want to do, don't let other people tell you otherwise," Kat smiled and nodded her head. Walking back over to the group she took a deep breath and spoke her mind.

"I'll take the contract," says Kat. Jessica looked shocked and so did her stepsiblings. It was something Kat had been looking forward to for years and now she had the ability to make her own destiny. "Oh, and Jessica," continued Kat. "I would like my songbook back, thank you," everyone in the entire audience gasped as Jessica handed Kat the journal. At the same time, security guards entered the room and saw Jessica, Valerie and Alice.

"You three need to come with me, you were not invited to this party," color faded from Jessica's face as she and her daughters stepped off the stage and quickly ran out of the house as the guards followed her. Turning around, Kat grabbed Sam's hand as Sophia approached the young couple.

"Hey!" yells Sophia. "Who do you think you are Katrina! He's my boyfriend!"

"I'm not your boyfriend Sophia," Sam turned toward Kat "I'm Kat's boyfriend, that is, if you'll take me back?" the biggest smile appeared on Kat's face as she nodded. Leaning in, the couple kissed each other passionately receiving a gasp from Sophia.
