Cold. That's the word Jay would use to describe the morning of October 17th. She woke to soft light illuminating her boyfriend's face. After focusing her eyes, she saw that he was smiling and vigorously typing on his phone. After sitting up a bit and letting out a short breath, her conscious presence was acknowledged. The light that was previously making dark brown eyes glisten went away. The room was now filled with darkness again as Jisung wrapped his exposed arms around Jay and pulled her against his chest, his chin resting on her head. A groggy, quiet voice breaks the silence.

"What time is it?"

"4."

"Why are you up?"

"Couldn't sleep so I was just on YouTube."

"It looked like you were texting someone."

"Oh, Felix."

"Hm."

"Go back to bed, Jay."

Hours fly by in an instant and Jay is awoken again, this time the source of light being the mid morning sky. After a few minutes of laying in silence, she carefully gets out of bed only to realize that her favorite person was nowhere in the room. After placing a baggy t-shirt and shorts over her nearly naked body, she makes her way out to the kitchen. Soft footsteps are heard as she walks in, her eyes resting upon a mop of light green curls.

"Hey, Chris."

"Hey, Morning."

A quick kiss is planted on her cheek. She sits down on a stool.

"Have you seen Ji?"

"Uh, no. He probably left before I woke up."

The sound of bacon sizzling fills the silence as Jay half heartedly bites at her nails.

"I wonder where he went.. he was up late texting Lix."

"No? Lix's phone died last night, remember? He went to bed without charging it."

"Are you sure? He said they were texting."

"Yes, love. He literally left it on the couch."

"Oh."

Standing up with a sigh, she makes her way back up to their room. After opening the curtains, she walks over and unplugs her phone, met with... nothing? No calls or texts from her boyfriend letting her know that he's gone or even safe. Just a still image of said boy with a bright smile and flowers in his hair, his golden skin glowing in the sunlight. After typing in a six digit code, she then opens her messages and sends a quick text to Jisung.

A knock on the bedroom door echoes throughout the room and Jay goes to open it. The same boy she had seen merely ten minutes ago was now standing in front of her with her favorite breakfast in hand.

"Toasted everything bagel with mayo, egg, ham and cheese?"

Smiles are matched.

"Thank you."

One strong arm is wrapped around her shoulders, pulling her close. After a reassuring squeeze, the boy ruffles her hair and walks back downstairs. After closing the door once more and retreating back to her bed, she sets the plate down on her leg but is met with a scratchy feeling coming from the bottom of it. Upon further examination, she finds that there's a folded up piece of paper taped to it.
