A whole day had gone by before Jisung realized his mistakes and apologized for them. He made it a point to talk to Lay first. It was a short one, though, as she just shrugged and said it was okay. He held off on apologizing to Jay for hours as he thought about how stupid he was to accuse her of something so big. He knew she would never do anything of the sort. He regretted what he had said. He always did. Truth be told, he did trust Jay. It was Lay he was worried about. Sure, on the surface it seemed like she respected their relationship but Jisung had no way of truly knowing how she really felt. This scared him. If there was one thing Jisung was scared of, it was losing the girl of his dreams. The girl who woke him up way too early to make him breakfast and watch the sunrise. The girl who let him attempt to braid her hair. The girl who danced with him under the stars. The girl who went above and beyond to show her appreciation. The girl who sang at the top of her lungs with him. The girl who wrote him love notes and hid them for him to find throughout the day. The girl he wrote songs for. The girl who he kept pinky promises with. The girl who ran her fingertips along his back every night without complaint just so he could sleep better. The girl who loved him unconditionally. The girl who showed him what love truly is. The girl who made him feel invincible. The girl who utterly destroyed him every time she looked into his eyes.

Her tiny frame was seen through deep eyes, bundled up on the large couch as cold air blasted through the house. The faint sound of arguing can be heard coming from the tv when Jisung shuffles his way over and sits next to his girlfriend. He looks over at her and can instantly tell that she was struggling to keep her gaze on the tv across the room. She mumbles under her breath in response to a scene in the show she's watching and Jisung smiles softly. He buries his hand under the covers and makes it a mission to find Jay's pinky and link it with his own. It was a habit they had both picked up and used whenever the other was upset with them as a way to apologize. After grabbing the remote and turning the tv off, Jay looked over at him. His heart shattered. The same empty gaze he had seen once long ago had returned. He knew exactly what she was thinking. It wasn't going to be that easy this time. He had really messed up.

After keeping eye contact in silence for about a minute, Jay stood up from her spot on the couch and made her way to put her shoes on and walk out of the house, even leaving her phone behind. Jisung took this opportunity to head over to Chan's room, placing his girlfriend's phone in his back pocket. After locking twice and seeing a mop of green hair open the door, he entered and sat on the edge of the bed.

"What's up, Sung?"

"I messed up."

"I know..."

"I don't think I can fix it."

"Jisung, you're being dramatic."

"She's gonna break up with me... fuck. Why did I do that? She would never cheat. And as if she would choose Lay over me? No way, Chan. What am I gonna do if she breaks up with me? I was a mess when we took a break, now imagine if we actually broke up. I'll literally die... like I'll be in a whole ass casket and..."

"Please shut up."

"I'm serious."

"This is Jay we're talking about, Sung. She has the biggest heart ever. You're her everything. She could never not forgive you. Just talk to her."

"She doesn't want to talk."

"Give her time... what you did was pretty fucked up and intense. You can't just go around and accuse people of cheating."

"I know..."

"I'm serious. How would you feel if she had done that to you and you knew you hadn't?"

"I'd feel like shit and that she doesn't trust me or my respect for our relationship."

"Exactly."

"I need to make this right... I hate when she's upset because of me."

"Then go fix it."

It was nearing nighttime and random chatter could be heard scattered throughout the dining and living room as the large group of friends all ate dinner together, minus two. Those in the dining room were interrupted when Jay made her way back into the house and entered the room.

"What's for dinner?"

"Carne con Chile."

Jay's face lit up. The whole group knew it was one of her favorites which was why they all banded together to make it for dinner that night. It was undeniable that things between her and Jisung weren't going well so they wanted to do something to cheer her up. It definitely worked.

"I'll go grab a plate."

"Actually, I already served you... it's upstairs in your room. Figured you'd wanna watch the sunset."

"Thanks, Chris. I love you."

After a quick side hug and head kiss to fluffy hair, Jay quickly made her way up the flight of stairs and to the room at the end of the hall. After walking in, changing into more comfortable clothes and sitting down on the bed, she grabbed her plate and zoned out while watching the sky slowly change in front of her eyes. It felt like forever had gone by when she felt the bed dip next to her. Her eyes focused back in and she could see a soft figure from the side of her eye.

"I love you."

"I'm sorry."

"What?"

"Do you realize what you did?"

"I do... and I'm sorry. I didn't mean it."

"If you didn't mean it, you wouldn't have said it in the first place."

"I was upset..."

"Because I was having fun? Real weird, Jisung."

"You were..."

"I was what?"

"...Nothing. Whatever."

"Mm, whatever."

"What's with your attitude?"

"Oh, I don't know Jisung. Maybe I should try accusing you of cheating and then get upset with you for being upset."
