Roman smiled as he let out a soft breath. Sure after that whole catnip fiasco, he was being watched. He didn't care. He knew Virgil was just concerned. He had tried to work up the courage to tell him many times but... he just never really could. It didn't help that Remus was starting to cause problems.

Roman would find his brother at random times just sitting there watching him creepily. At one point he just laughed and said... 'Hurry up, or I'll do it for you'. Roman didn't understand what he meant. It only ended up putting him on guard.

That of course put a strain on his and Virgil's relationship but... None of that really mattered when at the end of the day the two curled up together and just were. God, he loved that man.

He would do anything for him. Roman was never happier than he was when he was with his love. He couldn't believe just how much things had changed all because he got cursed. He hated it so much at first but... Now he wouldn't have changed it for a thing.

He had the man he loved... and that was all that mattered to him.

"Anxie?" Roman grumbled slightly as he rubbed his eyes and stretched. He slowly sat up with a yawn. He didn't even remember falling asleep. He knew the night prior he had gotten so worked up over something Thomas had decided but Logan kept butting in. Virgil had helped him calm down... He must have fallen asleep in his arms. He always did find it so easy to sleep there. "Anxiety?"

"Not quite." Roman jumped up spotting Remus sitting in a chair as Virgil stood there eyes drawn in a serious look. "How's it hanging, Kitty?"

"Remus?" Remus giggled as he jumped up with a flourish only serving to worry Roman more as Virgil made no attempt to speak. "What's going on?"

"Well, we were waiting on you Roman, dear?" Remus cooed with a pout before breaking down into laughter. "I was just telling Anxiety here a very... interesting story. You see... I just couldn't get over my own twin finding his inner feline..." Roman paled as Remus smirked psychotically at him. "... and him not telling me. I mean... I am the cat man out of the two of us. Who kept Kings Lion plush after all?"

"What are you doing here?" Roman hissed as he pushed himself up. He never really could be around Remus. All the dark thoughts he kept from himself just never would go away in his presence. He could feel his skin crawl, his magic becoming a bit unstable. "Anxiety?"

"Tell me Roman... when you were a cat, was it fun watching Anxiety get dressed?"

"What?" Roman just stood there stunned as Virgil moved to pick Nyxie up from the castle.

"Was it fun watching Anxiety get dressed?" Roman's eyes darted to the anxious one as his heart started to race. He could feel body twitch, his fear crawling down his spine begging him to hide.. to do something. It was making really hard not to give in to the urge to shift.

"I don't know what you're talking about?"

"Oh sure you do, Roman." Remus giggled as he danced about a bit. He spun and limply pointed over at his brother as he bent back to see him. "You were a cat and you never left him alone... not even to use the bathroom... oh you naughty naughty boy... and I thought I was the bad one."

"Remus, Stop. You don't know what you're talking about." Remus blinked a few times before fixing himself and crossing his arms.

"Roman, just say it." Roman shook his head his eyes darting about the room yet... Virgil just stood there blankly as if unaware anything was happening, just petting Nyxie. Roman knew... Virgil was breaking and Roman wanted it all to stop. "Admit it."

"You don't understand."

"I don't care, Roman. Stop lying to the man." Roman flinched as his breathing hitched, his body twitch bad begging to shift and hide.

"I'm not... Anxiety, please. Don't listen to him." Roman whined as he clutched his shirt. He just wanted Virgil to be happy. He just wanted to make this all stop. "Please? Please, don't..."

"I'm the only one being honest here." Remus squared himself up as Roman stumbled up bit. He could see his brother's image wavering. All he needed was just one more push. "Tell him the truth, Roman."

"Just let me..." Roman gasped as Remus suddenly shot upright in front of him, a sick twisted look in his bloodshot eyes.

"BOO!" Roman jumped his magic flaring out as his nerves hit there mark. His eyes went wide as he felt that sudden surge and his brother just laughed. Pain sparked through him as his body forced a shift. Not having used it in so long... It was quite painful. He whimpered out as everything crashed around him and suddenly... he was staring down at little orange tabby paws.

'No.' He looked up to see Virgil just staring at him with narrowed eyes. Remus was cackling as he danced about the room. He jumped up and just dangled over the cat castle with this beaming crazy grin. 'Remus, what have you done?'

"See?! I told you, Roman was King." Roman meowed as he jumped off the bed and ran straight for his brother only for Remus to summon his mace and make him freeze. "It would be so much easier now that your... so small."

'I swear I'm going to scratch your damn eyes out!' Roman hissed as his tail twitched angrily. Remus's grin just dropped as he let his mace rest below him.

"Do you see now, Anx?" Roman's eyes darted over to his love only to crash seeing how empty those eyes were. "I gave him time... I thought he'd just say it but... I always know. From the second I saw him before. I knew it was Roman."

"Thank you, Remus." Roman's heart literally shattered as he shifted back and just stayed there on his knees panting."

"Anx?" Roman groaned as his gut twisted inside of him. "Please, just... Let me... Let me explain."

"What's there to explain?" Roman couldn't help the tears building in his eyes as Virgil just smiled. "You lied to me."

"I didn't..."

"Come now, Brother... End the act. The curtain had dropped... The call is now over." Roman just... fell as he stared down at the groaned with this dull expression. "No one hurts Anxiety and just expects any one of us to be ok with it. You're lucky Deceit didn't know... He would've made a cat stew out of you."

"So instead of letting me tell him... you decide to do it yourself?" Remus's eyes sparked a bright neon green as Roman flinched and caught a ninja star before it could hurt him.

"You were never going to tell him."

"What was I supposed to do, Remus?" Roman snapped making his brother flinch back. "How was I supposed to explain that I am King?" Roman held up his wrist showing the collar and Virgil just scoffed. "So much shit happened... It was NOT your place to spill it."

"I already knew, Roman." Roman froze as Virgil just shrugged. "Sure I didn't peg you exactly for king but... things just made sense."

"Anx?"

"Both of you..." Virgil glared his eyes going black as the shadows erupted around him. "Get out of my room."
