We sat at the pool area, specifically the bar.
Paedemon sat beside me on a stool and three bowls of paellas were plopped in front of us.
"So, how's mother earth been?" Paedemon asked, mouth half full. "Haven't seen her in a while."
"She's good." Karl straightforwardly replied.
Paedemon dropped her cutlery. "So. Why exactly did you mention that name here?"
"The forget wars." I said.
Paedemon flapped my statement away. "Tch! Easy Mañana. That's the answer you're looking for is it not? It's her."
I looked at Karl. "Well... when I stayed in Mañana's castle for sometime, her sister threw a fit and said something about Mañana promising to end the forget wars forever."
"Its not going to be her. Yes, this isn't the first time Mañana has tried to bestow the despicable upon us but she certainly isn't the originator." Karl edified.
"Oh." I said. Well that explained the distrust.
Paedemon broke. "Whoa whoa whoa! You came here to ask me if I know the originator? No. Nu-uh. Whoever did that Must've had some really really big plans. What would make you think I knew anything about the originator if the forget wars?"
"For starters you deal with the powers of forces and from what Mhemrie could pick out from a scrambled memory, the originator begin the wars in this very place." Karl stated.
"Well I never." Paedemon scoffed.
"Tell me Paedemon? What other deals had you made in the past?"
"Listen up Karl. I deal with countless people who have despicable and abominable minds, what makes you think I would sit down and mark the faces of all those who come here to exploit powers?"
"Can you at least try to remember?" I sweetly asked.
She put on the huge hat. "I'll have to look into some records. Maybe I'll come by to Quilpxe's castle and we can talk. As for now, I can't remember anything""We have a deal then?" Karl asked.
"It's not a deal. It's just a way of making sure I don't run out of business." Paedemon corrected.
"Fair enough." Karl said, digging his hand into his red hair.
I took a bite of the Valencian dish. No doubt this was good.
"Also." Karl broke. "I suggest you stop making deals with powers. For now."
"For now." She reminded.
She looked at me. "And you Hanna, you look homesick. How long since you've been forced to stay under Mistopian territories?""Two months. Getting go three." I replied.
"Say you wanna go back home. For a visit?" She asked.
"I actually wanted to stay and help. With what I can." I replied."Aye, just for a visit. See how things are going on back in..." She tapped her forehead. "What's that place you said you came from again?"
"Illinois." I replied.
"Ah yes! Would you like that? I know you would."
I would.
Karl, now interested in his paella flapped me off. "Go for it."
Paedemon got up. "Follow me."
I did.We walked for sometime, took two elevators and a flight of stairs before we finally arrived infront of a door.
