A scowl never left Mhemrie's face the whole time we got to Paedemon's Papes.

It was past curfew. It took some persuasion before I agreed to follow Mhemrie out of the castle gates.

Hopefully Mañana wouldn't find out, though a part of me didn't quite trust that thought.

The same receptionist with the plastic smile let us in, but not after she acknowledged Mhemrie's V.I.P. card.

Two elevators up and we found ourselves in patio.

A glass pool sat in front, water glimmering under the action of the moonlight.

A purple chandelier hung magnificently from the ceiling, illuminating the place.

Several tables were laid out with beautiful wooden chairs and some portraits on the walls.

In the middle of the patio stood a huge round table, made of tempered glass if I may presume.

Around it were seats, drinks were also set in front of the guests who just happen to occupy those seats.

Sitting right in the middle of the table was Paedemon, in Jean shorts, a white shirt and a cardigan roughly hung over one shoulder.

I spotted Awre sitting there, moon-eyed, opposite him was a man with dyed blue hair.

Thereafter I spotted Karl whose cheeks were slightly flushed. Sitting statuesquely beside him on the table was a very beautiful woman.

She had shiny black hair draped down her shoulders and eyes that portrayed both seriousness and kindness.

Unmistakably, that was mother earth.

Mhemrie and I went over to the table.
Beside Awre was a petite brown haired lady who seemed to be watching everyone.

Opposite Karl was a dark-skinned man in a grey hoodie, a clipboard and a pencil in front of him.

Mhemrie took a seat in front of the petite brunette.

A pale skinned lady with green eyes hurtled towards me and threw her arms over me.

"Oh you... you poor, sad little thing. We're here for you. Oh you must feel so horrible. Don't worry everything will be okay. We have everything under control. I promise. I promise!"

I quickly realised this was some kind of meeting between the forces.

"Pity?" I mouthed to Karl.

He shook his head and mouthed back. "No, she's hope."

The dark-skinned man cleared his throat. "You can let go now Ginger, don't irritate the mortal child."

"Oh!" She said as she let go.

The wave of relief I felt from her hug left me the second she pulled away.

Ginger offered me a seat at the round table.

The beautiful lady beside Karl spoke up.

"Paedemon, changer of luck. I believe you are aware you are on trial."

Paedemon adjusted the cardigan on her shoulder.
"You can't be serious Tee!"

"You will call me by my position." Mother Earth snapped.

Paedemon nodded in respect.

"Something horrible happened today. Several creatures of nature were destroyed, timelines were twisted, individuals were judged unrightly not to talk of the thousands of mortals that were killed today!"
