I had stayed for a long time in my room. It didn't look like anyone was visiting soon.
I let down my hair and snuck out of the worker prison. I would have to find out whatever was going on in this place and that was a promise i made to myself.
Even princess Araya had seemed very uneasy about the question.
Was she hiding something?
Or was she just uneasy because it irked her that she was completely clueless about her world?
I couldn't be so sure.
It was nighttime and everyone would be in their rooms. Workers weren't allowed to leave the worker prison once it was late unless on special occasions.
I bit my lip and slowly slipped out of the doors of the worker prison. The moment I did, I took some minutes to catch my breath.
It was dark and the moment I took one step forward, I bumped in to something.
No.
I bumped into someone. "Argh!" The voice groaned in pain. I did same.
I recognized the voice. "Thea, is that you?"
Theadoress looked up. "Hanna... What are you doing in here?"
"I believe I should be asking you the exact same question." I snapped.
From the corner, where the trash was normally kept, there came a struggling sound and them someone fell out.
"Elmonde?" I asked.
She landed with a huge thump on the ground.
"This is not what it looks like." Theadoress tried to explain.
Elmonde got up and balanced herself on two feet. "Of course it is."
Even in the dark I could see Thea's lying face. "No, it's not."
"But it is, sneaking into my step-dad's office, remember?" Elmonde blurted.
"You guys were sneaking out without me?" I yelled.
"Ugh... you were doing the same thing, smarty."
"What I was doing was different, okay. You guys must've probably hitched up some kind of full blown plan or something!" I argued.
"No we didn't!" Theadoress lied, again.
"What are you even saying, of course we did, we had this in mind since this morning. Remember? You said not to get Hanna involved so she wouldn't be in anymore trouble than she already is in."
Aww...
"Thea that's so sweet of you." I said.
Elmonde cut in. "Actually, we're doing this for everyone."
I tilted my head to the side. "It's still sweet nonetheless."
There was a quick moment of silence between us three before I finally spoke up. "So... What was your full proof plan anyway?"
"We're gonna sneak into my step-dad's office and steal that huge book. He's probably gonna be with someone so I'm gonna have to distract him and you two get the book." Elmonde smiled.
"How exactly is that full proof. It's the same thing everybody does and mind you, it never works." I discouraged.
Theadoress gave me a disapproving look. "Well it's not like you have a better idea."
I didn't.
"Fine, fine, lets go." I gave in. It's not like I had a better plan, after all, my original plan was to head to her majesty's throne room and find anything.
