~ long time no write ~

~ 3rd person ~

daniel had woken up that morning to a few texts from his friend, asking the brunette boy if he wanted to go to the mall later.

daniel quickly texted his friend, tyler, back and told him he was down. the two weren't going to be going until later in he day so daniel decided to get up and go shoot some hoops in his back yard.

the boy got up out and slipped on some grey sweatpants before chucking on a jersey muscle shirt that he had gotten ages ago. the brunette opened his curtains to find the usual weather. the sun pierced his eyes and he shot up a hand to quickly block it, releasing the harsh strain on his eyes. he turned around and walked out of his room after grabbing his phone. he made his way down the hall to the bathroom to go do his thing.

daniel fixes up his hair and does his business before walking back out and downstairs. he made his way into the kitchen and was a little surprised to see his dad sitting at the counter on a saturday morning, recently he's barely been around as he's always out with saskia.

"hey dad" daniel greeted casually as he popped open a red bull that he had grabbed from the fridge. "hey daniel" jeff said eagerly. the brunette gave the man a weird look a look as to say "what the fuck why are you so happy", but he didn't ask anything and just continued with what he was going to say. "i'm gonna go shoot some hoops, see ya" he said as he opened the back door, left and closed it before his dad could say anything.

the brunette thought about how his dad was acting strange but decided to put his airpods in and drown them out with music and a good hour of basketball.

tyler and come to pick daniel up and they were now making their way through traffic and to the mall. the two didn't know what they were going to do or look for yet but daniel knew of one thing he would be looking for, eligible bachelors.

when they made it to the mall they walked around for awhile, mostly window shopping or pointing out things that might be worth taking a look at. they decided to buy sushi and some drinks and after eating at the food court they went to a store that was right next to it. tyler spotted something he wanted to try on so quickly ran in to do that, daniel stayed behind and waited outside the store.

a very blonde boy caught his attention in the food court after he was waiting for a couple minutes but as soon as he saw him his friend came back out and told him about the misfortune with the item of clothing. daniel was almost sure he felt eyes on him but tyler pulled him towards another store and they were gone.

daniel quickly forgot of the blonde hair and the glimpse he caught of his face - which seemed to look very good - as they continued wandering around. they eventually brought some stuff and left after about another two hours.

tyler dropped daniel off to an empty house so he invited him in for a little while until tyler was expected back home. by this point daniel knew that his dad would be with saskia but would be home later so he made his own dinner.

the next morning corbyn awoke with a groan - his alarm was going off and by his alarm he meant ashley, singing in the shower which was right next to his room. she was a good singer, he'd give her that but at eight o'clock in the morning on a sunday, he would rather wake up peacefully.

the blonde rolled out of bed and made his way downstairs, greeting his mum and jordan on the way past them to the kitchen. he grabbed a bite to eat and was about to leave before his mum called out for him.

"corbyn!" she called. "yeah" he called back as he was still stood at the open front door. "where are you going?" she asked. "i was just gonna meet with eben" he said. "well i have something to tell you once ashley gets down so could you tell him that you can't meet with him until later?" saskia said and corbyn rolled his eyes, he loved his mum but he just wanted to go. what was so important that it couldn't wait for later. the blonde shut the door and walked into the lounge as he texted eben.

daniel woke up at around nine, he figured he would catch up with some homework he had to do before school the next day before going to catch up with his friends.

the boy didn't really have to get ready to study so he just pulled on a pair of grey sweatpants and went to his desk, opening up his laptop and pulling out a couple books before getting to work.

the boy had just gotten submerged in his homework when his dad knocked on his door. "can i come in daniel" jeff asked. "yeah sure" daniel replied half heartedly as he rolled his eyes.

ashley had finished her shower and had come down the stairs. saskia asked them to join her but ashley insisted that she ate first and that she would only be a couple minutes. saskia seemed nervous which made corbyn worried and very eager to know so ashley putting this off even more just made him more agitated.

"mom she can hear us from the kitchen can't you just tell us?" corbyn queried. "yeah i can hear from here" ashley called to back her brother up, she was also eager to know the news. "yeah mom please, i've been sitting here for so long" jordan sighed as he looked up from his phone. "no, please i need you all here in front of me too see your reactions" the woman insisted. corbyn and jordan slouched back in the couch and went back to sitting on their phones.

ashley had finally finished and joined her two brothers on the couch and all eyes went to their mother.

jeff opened the boys door and walked over to his bed, sitting down on the edge. daniel kept looking at the screen of his laptop as he focused on some email that he was writing. it took a couple minutes for jeff to speak again, daniel assumed he had just forgotten what he was going to say.

"daniel" his dad finally said. "yeah" daniel replied, keeping his eyes trained on his screen. "can you look at me please, i need to tell you something" jeff said hesitantly. the brunette turned around in his wheely chair after shutting his laptop, facing his father.

"jeff and his son are moving in with us"

"we're moving in with saskia and her family"

~ that was probably the best chapter i've written for this book lmao. i hope you guys liked how the focus was on daniel's day when corbyn saw him in last chap and then how i had them so it was both perspectives as they got told at the same time - i hope that part even made sense ~
