"hey corbyn!" saskia yelled out to her son. the boy lazily trotted down the stairs, his sock clad feet pattering against the shiny floor. "yeah?" he asked when he made it into the family room where his mum was sat on the couch with a book. "how about you take daniel with you when you go meet up with the boys hmm?" she queried. he almost rolled his eyes, she said it in that way where it's phrased as a question but it's more like a statement. "but mum daniel doesn't know them and we wanted to talk about things. it would probably be weird for all of us" the blonde stated. "well if you take him then he'll know them won't he? and i'm sure he'll get along with everyone, i've known you boys for years, you're all very friendly." she opened up the book she had previously put done, knowing she had won. "fine" the blonde sighed before trudging back upstairs.
"hey daniel, you wanna come into town with me to meet up with my friends? i don't really know if you have a choice because my mum said i should take you but" corbyn leaned against the doorway and watched as the brunette moved around his room. "uh yeah sure! i'd love to meet more people, when do we leave?" daniel smiled at him and corbyn couldn't help the small smile that tugged at his own lips. "in about half an hour" he replied, the younger boy giving him a small nod.

"corbyn! can i come!?" ashley asked as the two boys put on their shoes, about to head out the door. "sorry ash, maybe next time." the blonde replied. "but daniel gets to go, i won't bother you i swear!" the short girl frowned when her mother scolded her. "fine, say hi to everyone and eben for me ok?" she flushed a slight pink at corbyn's playful stare that he shot at her. "yeah yeah i'll say hi to eben for you" she slapped the boy on his arm lightly before he picked up his keys and wallet. "ok bye y'all, we shouldn't be out too long"

the two boys sat in a reasonably comfortable silence. corbyn's fingers tapped the steering wheel leather along to the quiet music that played from the radio.
"so what was that whole thing about with your sister?" daniel asked, breaking the quiet. "what?" the blonde questioned, looking over at the boy for a split second to give him a confused look. "like with that eben guy, there seemed like there was something there?" the boy heard a understanding noise come from the driver before he spoke. "oh yeah, one of my best friends is eben, you'll meet him in a bit but ash has a little thing for him. she won't admit it but i know and i'm pretty sure she knows i know" the blonde had a silly smile on his face thinking about his idiot sisters antics. "oh! does eben i don't know have a thing for her too?" corbyn shook his head. "i don't know actually" and with that the blonde turned the music up more for the last couple minutes of the drive.

the two boys walked into the quaint cafe and the memories from the last visit made corbyn almost laugh out loud.
he spotted his friends in the same booth that was near the back and made his way over there, daniel trailing behind like a child would to a cat.
"hey boys" corbyn did the handshake with all the guys before they all noticed the brunette that was stood next to him.
"everyone, meet daniel, daniel, everyone"
