6. About time!

I looked around and saw a hole at the top of the stairs with someone standing on top of them. I looked passed the smoke and a grin appeared on my face. "About time, All Might."

I felt something grab my throat and squeeze it, holding me up in the air. I gagged and started struggling as the Nomu got up and continued to choke me. "Nike!" I hear All Might shout.

"Ah...I've been waiting, hero. You trash of society." I heard the ash blue villain say.

I glared at the Nomu and swung my feet toward, digging my talons into it's chest as she heard shuffling and identified them as Midoriya, Asui, and Mienta's footsteps while they carried Eraserhead. I started flapping my wings with my talons digging into it's chest, lifting Nomu off the ground and into the air as it continued to squeeze my neck. I closed my wings, letting us fall with the Nomu on it's back and it released my neck, letting me fly away from it.

I watched All Might run towards the Nomu and suplex punch it. I caught his gaze once he delivered the punch and nodded my head, flying towards the students with Eraserhead's body. "Alright students, entrance. Let's go." I ushered, landing in front of them as I covered them with my wings.

"Nike, how are you so calm after being choked by that...thing, ribbit?" Asui asked, looking at my neck.

I shrugged my shoulders. "I don't know, but I have to so you guys remain calm and safe." I explained. "Entrance. Now."

We started to move in a unison and careful of Eraserhead's injuries until I heard a painful grunt, making me stop in my tracks. I looked through my feathers and my eyes widened as I saw the Nomu gripping All Might's torso while All Might is gripping Nomu's lower's half with the help of the warp quirk user. I saw Midoriya leave the group, making me grit my teeth. "Asui, Mineta. Get Eraserhead to the entrance and stay there." I ordered, running after Midoriya.

I jumped a bit off the ground and flew quickly as Midoriya called All Might's name and leaped forward, only to be stopped by the warp quirk user appearing in front of Midoriya, blocking him from All Might with black mist. I felt the something cut through the air and realized it was Bakugo by the shape the air was cutting. "Move! You're in the way, Deku!" Bakugo yelled, grabbing a metal piece of the warp user and slamming him into the ground.

I suddenly felt the temperature in the air get cold and noticed the lower half of the Nomu was the Nomu was being frozen. "All I heard was that you all are here to kill All Might." Todoroki said.

I flew passed Midoriya, giving him a look of "we'll talk later" and went to All Might as he freed himself from Nomu. "I...I thought you were getting the others to the entrance." All Might said.

"And let you get your ass handed to you by this thing?" I grinned. "Yeah right." I said, blocking everything out as I planned on how to take care of this Nomu, watching as the Nomu got out of the warp and ice, now missing an arm and leg before regrowing an arm and leg.

"It's quirk isn't shock absorption?" All Might asked.

I shook my head while shielding All Might and the others with my wings. "No...it's super-regeneration." I stated. "And this is taking too long for my liking..." I flew a bit off the ground and rushed at the Nomu, digging my talons into it's shoulder and flying back into the air. I quickly dropped the Nomu above All Might, praying All Might would get the idea. Thankfully he did for he delivered an upper punch to the falling Nomu, making it fly past me and through the ceiling. I sighed and slowly flew down, gently landing on my talons as they slowly turned back into talons. I sighed once more and hooked an arm around All Might. "You look like shit."

"...Thanks, Nike."

"Earlier today, the USJ was infiltration by unknown villains and attacked UA's Class 1-A during a hero rescue lesson. The only critically injured were Pro-heroes Eraserhead and Thirteen. All Might was injured and defeated the villains' creature known as a Nomu with the help of returning hero, Nike. Thankfully none of the students were injured, showing that the teachers risked their lives for these children and kept them safe. Though this being the second infiltration of UA property in one single day, people are questioning how safe UA is and criticizing their security measures."

I rolled my eyes and downed the liquor in my glass. "Turn that shit off, Shizuo." I groaned.

Shizuo nodded his head and changed it to another channel. "I'll change it to do us all a service of avoiding silence." He said, looking at my glass. "More?"

I looked at my empty glass, just filling with ice and nodded my head. He nodded his head and poured more liquor in my glass.

"How's your feet?" Shizuo asked. "Seeing as how you walked in with bandages on your feet."

I looked down at my bandaged feet and shrugged my shoulders. "Fine I guess. Never bothered me before."

"I still find it weird your feet can turn into talons and then back again, then bleed." I shrugged my shoulders once more before downing the liquor in my glass as the bar door opened. "And now I have another bird in my bar. Should just change the bar name to bird's nest or something." He complained before putting down a napkin and a glass.

"Hey, Shizuo! It will be the usual for me!" A man said as he sat next to me.

Shizuo nodded his head before pulling out a sake bottle and filled up the glass. "Leaving the bottle on the bar again?" He asked then left it there.

There was a comfortable silence in the bar with the television playing in the background with the sound of Shizuo cleaning glasses with a rag as the stranger next to me filled his glass with the sake. I just continued to look at my glass and down the liquor until I felt a pair on me. I looked over at the man next to me.

He had dirty blonde that was slicked back with a few tuffs sticking out in front. He had gold eyes with his eye shape reminding me of a hawk's eyes. My eyes drifted to the visors he placed on the bar then to his headphones and then to the vermillion red wings attached to his back.

"Uh...can I help you?" I asked, placing my glass down.

The man looked at me before realizing he got caught and that I was speaking to him. "Sorry. I didn't mean to stare. It's just...are you old enough to be in a bar? And drinking alcohol?" He asked.

I rolled my eyes and looked back at my glass as Shizuo filled my glass, chuckling. "Trust me, Hawks. She's old enough, don't let her eternally young appearance fool you." He said, returning to cleaning glasses.

Upon hearing the man's name or nickname, I laughed under my breath. "Hawks, huh? Highly creative...since your eye shape resembles a hawk's eyes."

Hawks smiled as he leaned his elbow on the bar. "Yeah...I'm Hawks. And yes as in the Number 3 hero." He flexed, making me deadpan.

"Number 3? Really?" I asked. "Sorry I don't keep up with hero rankings. Honestly pointless and makes you an easy target for villains to target." I pointed out, taking a sip of my glass.

I looked out the corner of my eye and saw his eyes widen before relaxing. "I don't take it personally, kid." He said before downing his sake. He refills it before looking over at me again. "I'm so sorry but...I feel like I know you. Have we met before?"

I shake my head before downing my liquor once more and putting the glass down, only for Shizuo to refill it instantly. "Jeez for a bird you really have short term memory, Hawks." Shizuo insulted, making Hawks gasp dramatically. "Just take a good look at the woman and remember."

"Geez thanks Shizuo." I rolled my eyes before seeing Hawks looking me up and down before his face grew in realization.

"Nike!" He jumped up, making Shizuo and I stare at him. He coughed and sat back down. "You're Nike. The returning hero after four years. Geez I am so sorry for not recognizing you."

I shook my head. "It's fine. How about we start over? With the introduction?" I suggested.

Hawks nodded his head and stuck his hand out. "Nice to meet you. I'm Hawks, Pro-hero ranked #3."

I wrapped my hand around his hand, shaking it."Nice to meet you, Hawks. I'm Nike, returning Pro-Hero."
