Chapter 43

                   "Drug Affect "

Kimbra woke up bright and early Saturday morning. She talked to Michael two days prior about meeting her to talk. He was hesitant at first, but finally agreed when she said she was leaving town for good . She stared in the mirror thinking of what she would do to get him to drink the laced wine she picked up for just that day. After getting dressed, she left her suite to go pick up a few things for tonights fiasco.

Michael left the bureau late the previous night so he slept in while Teesha went out to the hair salon. It was like their honeymoon all over again minus his hiatus last night. Katherine had the children giving the two a chance to work through what had them off balanced during the party. Just as she pushed the red icon on the fod disarming her car alarm Jeese called out to her. "Teesha! I thought that was you. Where's my baby girl?"he looked inside the car as he jogged lightly . "Jesse. Um. Katherine has them. I'm sure she wouldn't mind you stopping by. I can call her for you."she exclaimed. "I wouldn't want to invade on her time with them. I hadn't seen you in a few weeks. The job is crazy, but I was hoping maybe you could stop by with Jalina on my off day. I'd love to sit and discuss some things about us and our daughter. "he told her smiling and staring at her. "I don't know Jesse. I mean.... Coming there may not be a wise decision when it's obvious you still love me."she looked deeply at him. "Are you saying it's nothing in your heart for me?"his voice had sadden,but he never lost his focus on her. "Jesse. "She exhaled as he grasped her hand tightly pressing it firmly against his chest. "This is love,Teesha. Every time my heart beats I love you more. I know I'm crazy,"he chuckled. "But how can I let go of someone who gives my heart this amazing feeling? You love him. I get it and if you say you don't love me I'll give up." He told her covering his hand over hers on his chest. She stared silently with tears welling up in her eyes. His eyes smiled and his lips profused with happiness. Not a word was passed as he slowly pulled her hands away from his chest. He grinned shaking his head pivoting his foot backwards sightly. She stood lost in the moment watching the happiness on his face as he walked to his truck got in and drove away.

After driving around the city for a little over a hour Teesha picked up some lunch for she and Michael and drove home . She was sitting in the drive way as he finished up his call with Kimbra. "I was thinking," he said. "I don't think I can see you. Teesha is just getting over the stunt you pulled weeks back. You have to finally accept my wife is my life. Kim, I want to see you happy,but you leave me no choice about the restraining order. "He expressed. "Michael is just drinks. Gosh. You owe me for everything I've endured. Yes I've did my share of evil, but you made me fall in love with you . Just give me an hour. Have a glass of wine and wish me a farewell. Don't make me beg you, Michael. "She sighed speeding through the red light. Michael looked out seeing Teesha in the drive-way " OK. After this I need your word that you'll stay away and let me and Teesha live our lives without anymore interference from you. I have to be honest with you. I'd kill to keep my wife out of harms way." He exclaimed. "I promise. So I'll see you about eight. "She smiled ending the call. Michael walked to the door greeting his wife with a helping hand with the takeout bags and a deep kiss to her lips . "What was that all about? "She grinned sitting here purse on the counter. "Just because you love me,"he grinned kissing her again."I didn't know you were bringing lunch. We could've gone out. "He suggested. "We could've,"she said thinking about her run in with Jesse."But it's more cozy inside, besides we need this time alone . "She said and his face scrunched up a bit. "What is it? "She walked to the sink to wash her hands. "Well,Teesh I...um I need to leave for about an hour or so. The chief called me in about some paper work. It won't take long."he swore. "It's fine,baby. You really took care of me the other day. I hadn't much sleep with Mj's teething and fever. And you letting me sleep in then waking up to breakfast was special. So you're granted to give your boss an hour. All I say is only an hour," she shook her finger at him "Because that's how long I'll keep the hot tub warm and then you'll have the couch to keep you warm all night if you're late."she joked. "Ohhhh,"he grabbed her scooping her up close to him."Not the dog house, baby"he grinned giving her a kiss. "Be late and see,Mr.Jackson "she wrapped her arms around his neck pursing her lips in a smirk. He devoured her lips slowly
