" I Guess, This Is Good Bye"
The next morning Jesse sat there watching Teesha sleep. It was well after ten and he refused to wake her knowing that she wanted to leave this morning. He ordered breakfast that was still hot and waiting on them sitting in the dinning area of their suite and watched and waited as she stretched her arms wide and woke up rubbing her eyes.
“Good morning.” Jesse smiled.
“Uh, good morning.” She sat up. “What time is it?” Teesha asked.
“It’s after ten.” He told her.
“Oh, God! “ She sat up fast.” I should’ve been up and on a plane.” She placed her feet on the floor.” Why didn’t you wake me up?” She asked.
“I won’t lie to you. I don’t want you to leave, so I selfishly watched you sleep and not at all attempt to wake you. You looked so peaceful and beautiful. I just couldn’t do it.” Jesse exclaimed.
“I can’t even be mad at you for being honest with me. I should shower and see if there are any flights available.” Teesha said as she stood up.
“I made a reservation for you a flight at three. I felt bad for letting you sleep in, so you’ll be able to leave in a few hours.” He smiled. “Jesse.” She smiled wide.
“Why are you so sweet?” She asked him as she walked closer and took his hand in hers. She squeezed gently not taking her eyes off of him.
“I… like I told you. I really love and care for you. It has not one bit to do with the fact that we made love.” He expressed with a smile. “I really want to see something good come from what we shared.” He said.
“Something good has happened. I’ve found me as special friend and I know whenever I’m in need of a shoulder you’ll be there.” She stood on her tiptoes and kissed his cheek.
“Well how about breakfast. I ordered it and it’s still hot.” He gestured to the dinning room.
“Ok. Jesse. “Teesha followed him to the dinning room table where he pulled her chair from the table.” Everything looks and smells so good, Jesse. You’re really too sweet to me.” Teesha said.
“Oh, it’s nothing, I knew you would want to eat when you woke up. It’s no big deal really” He smiled at her as he lifted his glass to his lips.
Her lips pursed as she bit into her bacon. “Jesse, I’m sorry for last night and the way that I talked to you. It’s just seeing her last night at the club just brought about every fear that I had. Then Michael being there didn’t help and I took everything out on you. I’m deeply sorry for the way I treated you.” Teesha told him as she continued to eat.
“Your reaction was normal, Teesha.” Jesse told her. “You know last night when you said.” He paused then felt embarrassed.
“I remember, Jesse.” She looked down.
“Did you really mean that?” He asked her.
“Yes.” She nodded. “Jesse our night was special to me and I…have thought about us again.” She told him pushing her plate away and wiping her lips with the napkin. “I’m not an adultery, though.” She shook her head.” But… I don’t know what I feel anymore for my husband. And sleeping with you again won’t help matters.” Teesha exclaimed.
“I know, Teesha and I don’t want you to do anything to jeopardize your values. When I said I was falling in love with you I meant it. I know I should’ve just came out and told you the feeling I had about knowing, Michael. I don’t have an explanation as to why, but I held it back. For that I’m sorry, because I never wanted to take away the trust we had.” He said.
