A New Beginning

Chapter 9

Poe followed the nurse to the front desk. The receptionist gave him the total, and Poe wanted to scream and run. He didn't have that kind of money!! What was he gonna do? Then, he got an idea. "I'm gonna go get my wallet from the room. I forgot it. I'll be back." He told the nurse. As he walked away, he commed Chewie, "Get ready." Chewie roared an okay. Poe walked in the room to find Rey trying to get up. "Hey, be careful," he told her as he rushed to help her. "I'm fine," she said shoving him away. "Hey! Please, let me help you. Because.... we have to go now." He told he as he put his arm around her to support and rush her at the same time.

"Poe?! What's the hurry? What's wrong?" She asked confused. "I'll tell you later. Just come on." He told her grabbing her hand. He went around the corner to find the nurse standing there with her back turned thank goodness. "We got to go this way now," he told Rey as the turned around. "Ahh, Poe. I can't rush please!" She told him as shooting pain went through her belly. "Right, sorry, I forgot. Here." He told Rey as he helped her into a wheelchair. He tried to act causal as they were nearing the front desk. They had just about passed it before the receptionist said something, "Hey, you haven't payed yet." Poe started going faster. "Where are you going?" She asked. "You haven't payed yet! Security!!! Security!!!"

Poe went even faster. He looked back to find them chasing after them. "Look out!!" Rey screeched as he almost ran someone over with the wheelchair. "Well, they better move," he said as he went even faster. "Hold on!" He shouted as they turned a sharp corner. They were outside now and there was the Falcon! "Poe! What is going on?" Rey screamed at him. "Just hold on!" He screamed as he raced up the Falcon's ramp. "Punch it Chewie!" He screamed as they got on just in time. Then there was nothing but the blue of lightspeed surrounding them.

Fun fact: while I was typing this chapter I was listening to Footloose, so I was typing really fast.😂 Which is funny, because Poe was going so fast😂😂 Anyways, hope y'all are enjoying this! Also, I post everyday because the chapters are short. I feel bad that they are. That's just how I write I guess. I actually got the idea for this chapter from a show called Heartland. Thx again!
