A New Beginning

Chapter 12

     As Rey got closer and closer to the figure, she realized something. It wasn't Ben. It was Finn, dressed in black with a coat over him. She stopped and started to run the other direction, but he pulled her back with the force, "Hello Rey." She didn't fight him pulling her but instead let herself be pulled so she could catch her breath. It was a lot of work running when she was almost 9 months pregnant. "Finn, listen to me. Stop please." She told him. "No, Rey this is the new me. I'm going to bring the dark side back. You and Ben failed to do it, so I'm going to. Palpatine's spirit is with me now. You hurt me Rey. First with Ben, now with Poe. I want you Rey. But I obviously wasn't good enough for you. So I changed." Finn told her.

     "Finn, no this isn't you," Rey told him. "No, your wrong, it is me. Now join me, and fulfill your destiny. This is who your meant to be remember. Your a Palpatine, Rey. Join us. His spirit has trained me and made me stronger than you could imagine." He told her. "I will never join you." Rey spat at him. It was at that moment that she broke from his force hold and ignited her lightsaber. "If that is what you want, then it's what you'll get." He told her as they started fighting. Finn had crafted a new lightsaber, a double bladed red one. Rey wasn't the strongest right now due to her condition. So it didn't take long before he had her on the ground with his lightsaber pointed to her neck.

     "No!" Poe shouted as he rushed at Finn. But it was too late, with one stroke Finn sent Poe flying back into the ground knocking him out. "Join me, or die." Finn told Rey. "Never!!" Rey huffed and puffed at him. Finn went in for the kill, but was stopped by a lightsaber going through him. As his body collapsed, Rey recognized the man who had saved her instantly.......
