soobin was scared, you kept taking pauses to say what you were trying to say. he didn't want to be hurt but he also didn't want his best friend to be hurt again.
but he knew whoever you chose, things were going to be hard. soobin always thought you were the nicest girl to ever exist whether you made bad choices or not, but he felt like this one was the biggest one. having to chose between him or yeonjun.
he couldn't stop thinking about the way you were just looking at yeonjun. it made him feel powerless.
he tried his best to focus on what you were saying now and he didn't want to think about it. he tried to tell himself it was just in the moment. maybe you had also looked at him that way but he just hadn't seen it.
but, the thoughts were haunting his mind... maybe you were truly in love with yeonjun instead of him. maybe you loved his best friend more than you loved him.
soobin was too occupied by his thoughts that he didn't hear the final words that had left your mouth.
"what?" he lets out once his attention went back to the things you were saying. "repeat that"
you look at yeonjun, "i'm so sorry" you then turn back to soobin and smile at him. "i want to be with you.."
soobin doesn't move an inch. he just blinks as his mouth was slightly open with shock and he doesn't answer you at first as his jaw was unable to even move.
"i truly loved you back then and i still do now.. although we missed out a lot about each other these pass few years, i still feel that we can be together soobin" you go on and his face reddens.
he couldn't believe the words coming out of your mouth. he truly thought you would chose yeonjun instead of him.
"this can't be real" he thinks to himself. rubbing his eyes multiple times to see if he was dreaming.
he looks to his best friend and he sees him smile. "why are you smiling that way?" he asks and yeonjun chuckles "because i knew she always loved you"
"she told me all about it today and last night.. she loves you soobin! no matter what, whether you're dating or not" he adds and you smile at soobin's now, red face.
soobin was too distracted by everything to even realize what yeonjun had just said.
he runs his hands through his hair, "what about you?"
"don't worry about me" yeonjun laughs. "i'm not for her anyway... we don't really go well together, don't you think?"
soobin laughs with him although he sort of does feel bad.. because once again. yeonjun doesn't get to have you.
