Mira froze. This... came with a reel of pictures.

"Stop following me. You are like a bug," He had told her when they were in tenth grade and had teasingly pulled her cheeks. "A small bug."

It was when she had secretly followed him to the library in the recess and was caught. This earned herself the title of a nagging bug.

After that, he took her to the canteen and brought her a burger.

"Why didn't you tell me?"

His question broke her out of her reverie.

"I am sorry."

Parth pulled himself up and glared at her.

"Mira!!"

She flinched.

"Sorry."

He took in a deep breath and smiled sweetly. So sweetly that she felt goosebumps over her arms.

"Mira, let's have a heart to heart session."

Mira squirmed uneasily.

"That.."

His brows raised at her hesitation.

"Any problem?"

She shook her head, feeling intimidated under the onslaught of those burning eyes.

"Good." Parth motioned towards the empty ottoman pressed against the wall. "Take a seat."

"I am fine."

His eyes narrowed at her.

"Sit."

She gulped nervously and sat down on the ottoman.

"When did it all start?"

She looked up at him in confusion. Didn't he read her diary? Why is he asking again?

"Tell me."

"This... d-d-didn't you read the diary?"

"Aren't heart to heart sessions supposed to be like this?"

"!!!"

"Tell me."

"In eleventh grade."

"Why? Did you do something?"

"I-I didn't."

Parth chuckled humourlessly.

"If you didn't, why were they targetting you?"

Her eyes pricked with moisture.
"This-I-"

"I am sure you must have given them a reason to do that to you."

Parth walked over to her and kneeled down in front of her.

"You must have done something," Parth took her small hands in his and her tears fell at his words.

"Did you boast about how pretty your hands are and how prettily they draw."

"N-No."

Her voice was barely a whisper.

"Then what did you do wrong?"

Her lips parted as she tried to form words.

"I-I-"

"Tell me what did you do?!"

"I-I did n-nothing."

She hiccuped between her tears and Parth pulled her in his arms.

"You did nothing wrong, little bug."

He caressed her hairs softly as she sobbed in his arms.

"You don't have to be sorry for anything.
