"can i talk to you for a sec?"

isogai's eyes slightly widens in shock. he points at himself, just to make sure if it's really him who's karma's referring to. "me?" he asks.

karma nods, tucking his hand inside the pocket of his pants. he gestures his head for isogai to follow him before turning his heal around and start walking.

"how much do you know about [ surname ]?" karma asks, stopping by the storage area where all the props for the school festival tomorrow is stored. "it doesn't matter if it's big or small. please, tell me."

it took a second for it to sink in isogai's head. but as soon as he realised it, a smile quickly forms his lips. "i was late before, but i found out that she doesn't like being called by her last name." he began. that information seem to have surprised karma, given that isogai caught a glimpse of him lightly flinching.

"it's not like i can suddenly call her by her first name.." karma mutters to himself. i want to, is what he thought. long before, he had already noticed how all people you've met call you by your first name.

but when karma calls you by your last, it's as if you aren't really bothered by it.

he likes to think that he's special to you, in that way.

"that's all." isogai says.

karma shot his eyes up to the smiling teen. "what?" he asks. "you agreed to tell me-"

"i never agreed on telling you things about [ name ]." isogai takes a step closer to karma's direction. his steps were light and gentle that tells karma that he has no other intentention other than giving him a piece of advice. "i think it's best if you ask her instead. i'm sure, that she'd be glad to release some bottled up stories and emotions in her chest."

and with that, the class representative returns back to the classroom. leaving karma dumbfounded by what he has been told.

maybe isogai was right.

"[ name ], today..is absent! unfortunately, she wouldn't be able to attend the first day of our school festival." informed korosensei to the whole class. "i'm sure certain guys are sad about her leave, but do not fret! she said that she'll try and catch up on the second day!"

light giggles emerges from some students, glances shifting from karma's seat to isogai's direction.

but karma couldn't seem to bother himself with that. he's more concern on why you didn't even give him a heads up about your leave. he doesn't even know where you went, has no clue where you went.

sometimes, he finds your independent nature a problem. you tend to keep things to yourself, without informing anyone what you'll be doing. he'll just be surprise to see you with a bruise the next day.

he hates worrying. it stresses him out and decreases his focus.

he liked it better before when he had no need to worry about other people. when all he had to do is worry about himself.

getting dragged into a life he isn't use to, is something he something he needs to work on.

even if the first day of the school festival began, it's still rather boring for karma. he'd usually find ways where he can find entertainment. messing with nagisa isn't as fun, making troubles with nakamura isn't much fun either, eating puddings with kayano isn't fun at all.

for the longest moment, he had the strong need to look and long for you. look for things that included you, hoping that he'll find some indirect fun with it.

he was wrong. they weren't fun at all.

what's taking you so long?

....

stretching your arms up, you slightly tilted your head to your right, sort of exhausted to attend another event after attending one yesterday.

entering the school grounds, you are immediately greeted by a certain strawberry headed teen that's presence you found extremely irritating.

"what is it this time?" you ask, furrowing your brows. "gonna call me lackey again? just so you know-"

"about that," gakushuu started, tucking hisbhand inside the pocket of his pants as he hands you a ticket. "i'd like to give this to you. take it as my apology for offending you and calling you a title you aren't very fond of."

raising a brow, you look down at the offered ticket. "what ticket is it for?" you ask.

"our class arranged a concert for this year's school festival." gakushuu responded, crossing his arms as soon as you took the ticket from his hand. "the number of people you'll be bringing won't matter. you can bring your family, friend-"

"classmates?" you ask, grinning as you wave the ticket sideways.

gakushuu narrows his eyes to your direction. "that, i do not approve of." he says.

"then there's no point giving me this ticket." you said, letting out a sigh. "my auntie's at work, my cousin's at school, my friends are four hours ride away from here. what's the point of going in if i'm the only one?"

gakushuu grumbles to himself, massaging the temple of his nose after. "fine. but only bring one classmate." he says. "i wouldn't want people thinking that i'm in truce with class-e people."

ignoring his last statement, you patted his shoulder. "see you later, then!" you said, proceeding to make your way to the stairway that leads to your respective school building.

leaning his head on the doorframe of his classroom, karma lets out a soft sigh. he has never been this bored. the interesting activities lost its spark whenever he tries to do them.

"wow, you're one heavy baggage to carry if you aren't helping around. this place is crowded." karma's gaze falls on your figure that's approaching him whilst your eyes wanders around the amount of people outside the school building.

fixing his posture, karma spoke. "you're back already?" he raises his brow.

"miss me?" you teased. you raise the ticket that was given to you earlier in front of karma's face, pulling it away upon witnessing his surprise look. "let's go to shuu's little concert."

you speak as if you didn't left. but it's not like it matters.

you're here now.

arm slinging around your shoulders, karma nods.

"let's go. it's boring here."
