"it's raining."

droplets of water falls and spreads across your skin as you proceed to reach your hand out further to the pouring rain, somehow enjoying the cold sensation it brings you.

"you didn't bring an umbrella?" karma raises his brow, hand tuck in his pocket as he inhaled the smell of the wet soil.

"no. did you?" you questioned back.

karma turns his head to your direction. "you're the responsible one between us two, why didn't you bring an umbrella?" he asks.

"why does it seem like it's my fault?" huffing, you let the strap of your bag falls off your shoulder as you swiftly rested your bag on top of your head. giving karma one last glance you told him a quick, "let's go!" before proceeding and running under the rain.

karma scoffs. he didn't like the idea of his clothes and the stuff inside his bag getting soaked with rain water. he's also not fond of having muds splash all over his pants whilst he run. he's carefree, but isn't filthy.

but you? you didn't mind doing the things he isn't fond of.

and, well, the only idea that he liked is that, if you do something you enjoy, then he wouldn't entirely mind doing it as well. whether he liked what you do or not.

"you're insane." he comments upon seeing how soak you are from the rain. he wanted to question how your things inside your bag are doing, but the answer must be very obvious already.

"fuck-" you turn to karma, complete panic paints your face as you took your bag off your head. "i just remembered that our blower's broken! what am i suppose to use to dry my stuff?!"

she's stupid. karma tells himself as he lets out a sigh through his nostrils. "i have one back at my house. we're not far." he said, walking pass you, not wanting to get you soak than you already are.

your lips slightly parts as held your gaze at a rather gigantic house, that what karma claims as his house. you're starting to bet that the size of his bathroom is just the size of your living room. and to just to mention that you living room isn't entirely that big.

"what're you standing there for? come on." karma gestures his arm for you to follow him while he enters the gates of his residence. you guessed that the only thing that humbles the whole residence is the gates. it's the size of a fence door.

"aren't you scared of getting robbed..?" you glanced at the gate, swinging it back and fourth before proceeding.

"i have neighbours who looks after the house for me and my parents." karma responded, finally sheltering himself from the rain while you took a hot minute because of how overwhelmed you are with his house.

you knew his family is well-off, but you never thought that they'll be this well-off.

"YOU HAVE A WALKIE TALKIE?!" you exclaimed in excitement at the sight of the two untouched devices on the coffee table inside the living room. you've guessed right. their living room is twice as big as yours.

a towel hits your head, making you let out a light grunt. "you're dripping everywhere." karma said, rubbing his own towel on his soaked hair. "dry up first."

"after that, can we try your walking talkie?" you ask, walking over the wooden floor part of the living room.

"can you think of yourself first before the walkie talkie?" he raises a brow. "the bathroom's upstairs. wash up while i'll look for clothes that'll fit you."

turning his heel around, he stopped when you tug on his blazer. "i don't want to wear your clothes." you say. you've read this kind of situation in novels before. usually the male lead would offer the female lead his clothes. and, well, you weren't up for that idea.

karma raises a brow. "what makes you think that i'll be lending you my clothes?" he asks. "my mom's old clothes will probably fit you. that's why i should look for them right now or else you won't any clothes to wear."

grasp around his blazer loosening, your mouth slowly forms in a small 'o' shape. "oh." you nodded. "okay. thank you."

....

"i'll go outside, you stay here." you said. "i want to know if this is really effective!"

karma fixes up his own walkie talkie, nodding. he stole a glimpse of of you standing up from the sofa. his mother's clothes somewhat fits you well. it's a good thing his mother has a hobby of keeping her old clothes to either sell or donate.

standing up, he makes his way to the living room's window where he can clearly see you standing at the balcony. "hello? over." he began.

"it worked!" he hears you say from outside, not from the walkie talkie. "o-oh, i meant it worked. over!"

karma scoffs, a smile forming his lips. he didn't think you'd get worked up over something such as a walkie talkie. "bend over." he says, upon noticing a rock on the balcony. supposedly his intention was to ask for you to just bend over, take the rock and throw it back to land.

but you..

"bend what? over."

karma can feel himself hit his forehead on the palm of his hand. you see, at this point, he can no longer tell if you're acting dumb or it's just your nature.

soon enough, you've had enough of the walkie talkie.

"it's so cool!" you gleefully stated to the red head who's waiting for you at the entrance of the main door. you raise a hand, waiting for a high-five with him.

slightly smiling, karma gave you the high-five you're directly asking just by raising a hand. before he can even pull away, you pressed your hand against him more. "your hands are cold." you said.

you've also somewhat notice how his nose and ears are blushed. probably from the cold. "like a girl.." you murmured.

karma's quiet. but he wants to tell you how much warmth you're giving him just by pressing your hand against his.

"sensitive skin?" you look up at him. your eyes widens at the sight of his face even more flushed than before. "are you okay?!"

pushing your hand off contact, karma turns his heel around, waving his hand dismissively. "i'm fine." he says. "let's..let's go eat something."

"good idea! i'm starving."
