ÂŚHŁĒŸ
I got to school early and began the hunt to find the guy that helped me yesterday. I don't really know which room he's assigned to, and I don't even know his name.
every corner, room, crevices, even at the rooftop, still no sight of him. this is a bummer...
I began to lose hope so I sat at the stairs thinking of a way to find him. just then I heard yelling and thudding noises at one of the classrooms.
it's literally 4:37 am who would be here early except for me?
"you look stupid in that hair color." someone said and I think he's talking about the guy that saved me!
curiosity took over me so I lean my right ear on the door and I overheard some of their conversations.
"I hope your bakery burns." bakery? burn? that's kinda cruel.
"it's kinda unfair that I'm alone and you have a gang next to you. are you a coward or something, at least pick on someone your own size." that voice... it is him! did he get into trouble?
"you f*cking asshole, beat him up." beat him up? why?
the guys who saved me began grunting out of pain and I think he's fighting back as well. I have to do something, but I'm just a girl how am I supposed to help a guy that is beating up other guys.
"hey you dummy what are you doing here?" a familiar voice whispers onto my left ear and I flinched away from the door.
I looked over to the person only to see Olivia. "I'm asking you," she said and I looked over to the door.
"some students are beating up a guy that helped me yesterday..." I said quietly. Olivia leans her left ear on the door. they're still fighting.
"Ohh I see, so you want to help him out?" she asked and I nodded aggressively. she stood up and stretched her body.
"I got this." she gave me a thumbs up and walked a little farther away from the classroom and starts to walk really loudly towards it.
she opens the door and gasps. "Oh my! some students are beating up a guy!" she said while holding her phone that is recording.
"what the f*ck are you doing here?" a guy yelled at Olivia and she walks closer to them.
"let me get a clear view of your face so that I can report this to the principal. that would suck right?" she teased the guy and I can see him getting irritated.
"let's go leave that wimp be," he said and the other students left the room, leaving only the three of us.
I quickly ran towards the guy that helped me and offered my hands to him. "can you get up?" is what I asked and he looks at me with those beautiful blue ocean eyes.
"I can," he said and grunts after standing up. Olivia chuckles as she watches the video she recorded.
"yow I can clearly see their faces here! wait till this gets to the principal-" he cuts Olivia off by grabbing the phone off of her.
"don't," he said and Olivia faced her body towards him.
"and what if I don't?" she steps a little closer to him. what the hell is this situation? we saved him and now he doesn't want to be saved?
"I can hurt you." he clenches his fists and I can't bring myself to stand up and interfere. I'm too weak to protect someone.
"as if." Olivia grabs her phone back and puts it in her pocket. she sighs loudly and looks at him.
"I won't send this to the principal, but I will send the video to you and I'll delete the video on my phone, so you get to choose whether to report this to the principal or keep it to yourself," Olivia explains and picks her phone back again.
"So what's your number?" she asks and the guy raised an eyebrow. wow, that was fast. was that unintentional or not?
he grabs her phone and types his number there.
"Oliver, my name is Oliver Jones," he said and left the room. oh, he has similar names with Olivia.
"Do you know him?" I asked and Olivia turns to me and laughs.
"Just because our names are kinda similar doesn't mean we know each other okay dummy?" that dummy again, I dislike it.
"I'm not a dummy, I have a name." I grumpily said and left the room as well. why is there so much going on, my brain cannot comprehend it?
I continued walking downstairs, not listening to Olivia because I'm too tired. there's so much going on I'm about to explode.
"hey come one I know your name, your name is Ashley Garcia. but the nickname dummy suits you." what? okay, that's it. whether shes my friend or not I can't accept that treatment?
"How does the nickname dummy suit me? because you think I'm dumb? that I'm this introverted loner that you can mock and mess around with?" there, I said it. and I regret it. very much so.
"oh so you know how to talk back as well, you surprise me every time huh. okay, I get it, I apologize, I'll call you Ash then." Ash... hmm, that turned out better than I expected.
we are inside the classroom waiting for other students to arrive and tapped her left shoulder lightly. I want to assure myself if she's willing to be my friend or not.
"so..." I shyly said and fidgeted my fingers. "are we friends now?" she looks at me weirdly at first but smiled as well. I can feel that she's genuinely smiling.
"Sure why not."
