Stress

This poem is a little bit about the stress teenagers can face. I wanted to start a poem with a mood ring, because I actually did buy one the other day. :) This I what I came up with, but it's not my favorite to be honest. Hope you enjoy anyways!

I bought a mood ring the other day

Just to see what it would say

It immediately turned black

And I just sat and stared back

For the color black means I'm stressed

But that's just something I've learned to repress

My childhood was about the silly things

Always flying high on the swings

So when did it become about tests?

And when did our lives become infested

With the darkest of thoughts

And who bought

The most expensive clothing?

So yeah maybe I'm a little stressed

But maybe it's for the best

The tension in my shoulders

Is heavy like a boulder

But I'm still alive

I will survive
