Floating

This is a poem about floating underwater. It's meant to be more of a peaceful poem. I just think that being underwater is such a peaceful moment and it feels like time doesn't matter.

Time is frozen

You just feel the cool water all around you

You can sense the sunlight reflecting off the water

Air bubbles float around you, whispering in your ear

They say, "stay with us down here"

Hair flows around you, making you look like a goddess from the sea

Do you dare to open your eyes and see the beauty of the underwater world?

Your eyelids flutter open and you take in everything

You see the silky soft sand on the bottom and the sunlight lighting it up

Seaweed floats around you and is entangled in your hair

But that doesn't matter

You're at peace

You push off the bottom and break the surface

Gasping for air, you feel the burn in your eyes

But that doesn't bother you

You smile and laugh

You've felt something unlike anything else

Peace
