Taehyung and the rest of the members have been in the mental institution for a while. None of them seem to have any serious problems, most seem to just have social anxiety or depression. The hospital though, is physically and mentally abusive to everyone, so most just try to keep their heads down and follow the rules.
Jungkook, a bad boy persona with a gambling problem, decides to fake having a mental illness to avoid jail time. Jungkook comes in loud and defiant, but he's smart and observant and he noticed that Taehyung seem to be more aware than he was letting on. Taehyung finally gives in after Jungkook's constant poking and an unexpected gift. They slowly start to fall in love while keeping Taehyung's secret.
If anyone were to find out about Taehyung, they would lobotomize him for the things he had overheard. Jimin especially can not find out, because even though he's Taehyung's best friend, Jimin has close personal ties with the head nurse who's evil and manipulative.
