Vampire au.
ALRIGHT, this is another one to add to all time favorites. I absolutely adore this story. It was amazing and beautiful at every step of the way.
The first chapter I was a little confused because it was from Jungkook's point of view and he was a in a blood haze, so his thoughts are all over the place and mainly about blood. After the first chapter, everything is beautiful. Jungkook becomes a powerful queen (literally), ruling by Taehyung's side.
While it is a vampire au, it holds a very unique world, involving royalty, politics, assassinations, and some unique vampire powers. As a powerful creature, vampires hold little care for human customs or traditions, perfectly explaining Jungkook being able to, confidently, wear sexy feminine clothes.
Actually, most of this story is about Jungkook becoming a confident, bad-*ss, queen.

Some vampires have special powers, mainly depending on bloodline.
Jungkook has been a vampire for 5 years. He doesn't remember what happened before he woke up in an alley, turned. About 5 years later, he lost himself to a blood haze within a hospital, killing a few people before he found himself in the basement of the building, trying to open a random door.
Taehyung is the king of vampires and the most powerful one too. Needing a break from ruling, he made himself an apartment in the basement of a hospital. Years later (I think it was like 60 years maybe), Taehyung finds a fledgling at his door. Taehyung decides to help and train Jungkook.
As the king, Taehyung (along with the lords ruling) must keep track of the vampire population, no vampire lives or dies without consent from the throne. If a vampire is turned, the one who turned them must spend at least 5 years training the new fledgling. Thus, Taehyung was furious when he found out Jungkook had no sire for 5 years, so Taehyung figured it was time to go home.
Everyone within the vampire castle thought that Jungkook was just some fledgling gold digger and looked down at him. Jungkook soon proves them wrong.
While Taehyung and Jungkook fall even more in love and dedicate themselves to each other, they find out about an organization moving to take down the thrown. Jungkook come up with a plan to take them down, but it involves becoming the bait, becoming queen.
Jungkook proves to everyone that he is a strong capable ruler.
Jungkook and Taehyung are basically soulmates in this and love each other so fully and loyally, without a spec of distrust or dishonesty. They truly believe in each other with every fiber of their being. Which also means, they will stop at nothing to protect the other.
BTW: The last two chapters made me cry so much.
