I was dressed to impress. I had on one of my designer dress shirts and a pair of dress pants. I had added a nice silk tie and my dress shoes. Both my resume and references were printed out and waiting in a folio.
I still felt nervous and unprepared though. It didn't matter how many classes I took at the employment centre, nor how many websites I had glanced over with interview information in them... I still felt like I was doomed.
I left the apartment earlier than I needed to and locked up carefully behind me. I checked my breath, not trusting the good brushing I had given my teeth. I popped a mint in on my walk over just in case.
I was only really nervous because I wanted the job badly. It was the best one I had applied to so far, according to what I wanted. That did not mean I was right for them or that they would hire me.
I took a deep breath and checked my watch. I was fifteen minutes early. I still walked into the air conditioned space with my head up and a smile on my face. An older lady was in the waiting room with a dog on her lap and she gave me a once over.
I smiled and nodded at her, looking at the older dog on her lap with pleasure. It was really cute! I hope it wasn't sick. I walked to the front desk and told the lady there I was here for the interview.
She asked me to wait with a bland smile. I sat in the waiting room with the old lady. She kept glancing over at me. The dog was staring over at me too. It was a little weird, so I tried to break the tension.
"The puppy's cute. What's the name?" I asked in a friendly tone. She smiled at me then.
"This is Pepper. She is going on ten years old. I still make sure she gets her yearly check up." The woman replied. I nodded understandingly.
"That's great. I am sure she appreciates the care you give her." I replied. She hummed and gave the dog scratches behind the ear. The dog was in bliss.
"Are you going to be a new veterinarian?" She asked me curiously. I smiled widely and shook my head.
"No ma'am. I am hoping to work at the desk for now. I'm just out of high school. But thank you!" I told her with a hopeful grin. She grinned back.
"Well, if a fine young man like you is here... I might just have to visit more often." She teased me with a wink. I coughed with a slight blush of embarrassment and a rather amused middle aged man called my name at the door. I got up to follow him and she called out, "Good luck!"
I waved to her and then walked through the clinic inner door. There were a few people walking around in the back hallway, all wearing scrubs or nice office wear. The man showed me into an office and had me sit down across from him at the desk.
"My name is Dr. Nick Adesso, and I am the owner of the clinic here. We have four veterinarians on staff and ten technicians who all rotate shifts to keep us open 24 hours, since we are the only emergency clinic in the city." He seemed quite proud of the fact and I nodded eagerly.
"Yes sir. You are also the only clinic who has specialists in exotic and small animals. I went to your website and I was very impressed. It would be a great honour if you chose me to be a part of your team, sir." I replied in excitement. He smiled at my words and proceeded to explain the process they use for hiring.
I had already passed the first stage, and was currently undergoing the second. He wanted to meet each person that would be the face of his company to make sure they were fitting for the business. I could see him giving me a once over, and his face was unreadable.
I told him a little about my background, that is about my schooling and how well I had done in communications classes. I told him I was interested in the administration aspect of business.
I told him that although it would be my first job, I was no stranger to business and working in a team. He asked me to explain a few of my answers to questions that I had submitted back, and seemed impressed by my answers for each.
By the time I was done, I think I felt a little more confident and hopeful that it would work out. We shook hands and I told him I looked forward to hearing from him. It was something I had heard my father say, and it seemed to make the guy grin a little as he showed me out.
I walked away from the place with a self-assured stride. My smile felt comfortable as I went back into the apartment. I made myself a chocolate milkshake to celebrate. All in all, I knew it was a good first step towards getting employed.
I cleaned up the kitchen and went to check my laptop. No other news was awaiting me in my email. Oh well. It was still too early to hear back from the other job postings. I finished my drink and did a little more cleaning. The bathroom was a little dusty downstairs, so I wiped it up.
Sasha would be home for dinner tonight, so I washed my used glass and then prepared a salad while I waited. Just washing and cutting the vegetables was soothing. I put everything in a bowl and covered it before putting it back in the fridge.
The door handle rattled and I heard the deadbolt turn. My eyes brightened and I ran over to welcome him back. He smiled when he saw me and I slipped into his arms before he could get his jacket off.
"You could wait until I come in the door." He teased me with a tight squeeze back.
"I couldn't wait. I missed you." I replied with a grin. I helped him close the door and took his jacket, following him upstairs as our routine now dictated.
"I missed you too. How was the interview?" He glanced over at me and I sighed.
"Good? I think? I really want this job, Sir. It's just what I was looking for. I hope I get it. I was really nervous though." I replied, scratching the back of my neck and shrugging.
"I'm sure you were great. I have faith in you Lukas. You will find a good job." He told me after he came out of the closet from putting away his used clothes. He stood there in just his undershirt and boxer briefs, and I was distracted.
I gulped as I stared at the faint shadow of his manliness that was visible through the thin fabrics. I could see his sculpted muscles. I could make out the shape of his flaccid dick and hanging sack pressed against the black fabric of his underwear.
I was drooling, my eyes tracing his form right down to his sculpted thighs and calves. It took me a moment to realise he was closer, so close now that he leaned over me with a devilish grin on his face.
"Like what you see?" He taunted me. I nodded unconsciously, but honestly. He chuckled and tilted my head up to receive a kiss. I sighed as his tongue plunged inside to lick my mouth and teeth sensually. He pulled away and I followed a few inches after him.
He moved away to pull on his plaid lounge pants. I watched him bend over and my heart raced. I tried to catch my breath. He looked over at me with an amused glance. He looked down at the stiff tent in my pants and raised a brow.
"You really are a teenager. Get into your pajamas Lukas, and then join me to make dinner. If you can wait until later, I will play with you." His voice dropped with promise and he left the room. I heard his footsteps going down the stairs and gulped.
I looked at the straining problem in my pants and huffed a sigh. What he meant was, don't touch it. I could do it. I could hold it. If it meant having his hands all over me... I could wait a few more hours.
I changed into my pajamas with careful moves so I didn't stimulate myself any more than I already was. It was painfully hard, and I tried to distract myself with going over the interview again in my head. I was mostly soft by the time I was ready to go downstairs.
I glanced back at the perfectly made bed and mentally made a wish before going down for dinner.
