An Unwelcomed Surprise

Author's Note: Athena and her sisters celebrate their sweet 16 only for it to be crashed by some Unwelcomed guests, while Cory continues the search for Alma's killer. Poor 2ArchAngels having to deal with Altair...enjoy!

Those who had been friends of the Cameron family for years came from near and far to celebrate Athena, Sarah, and Brandy's sweet 16th, but Athena was still shocked to discover that their ancestor, Rowan Cameron was a Templar. The party was to be during the day since it was Halloween night. Each girl dressed up for their birthday. Athena looked like a beautiful Greek goddess, ironically enough the one she was named after. Kassandra had aided with doing her hair. Sarah dressed up like Aunt Peggy when their Aunt fought in World War II, and Sarah, well Sarah dressed up like Scarlet from Gone With The Wind.

Everyone was outside having fun when the girls walked to the front door. Media outlets were there to mark the occasion as Kassandra opened the door and Athena took the center of her sisters, being the oldest she represented the family "Welcome guests. Sixteen years ago today, my sisters and I came into the world." she said.

The people clapped saying 'happy birthday' as she smiled softly "Our only wish, was our mother were here to see how her baby girls grew up." she said her voice breaking.

Kassandra rubbed circles on her back to soothe her "Goes without saying, to the Pagans Halloween was a day to celebrate the loved ones who left the living world, to communicate with them. A day when the veil is at it's weakest." she said, "Though other beliefs took this day and made it into a mark of evil." 

Most nodded and clapped with respect while those who she all but called out just glared  "It is in human nature to fear what we don't understand," a voice called out

"Warren Vidic, how have you been sir?" she asked politely, though on the inside her blood boiled.

How in the hell did Warren Vidic get an invitation to their party was beyond her "I have been well, and I see you and your sisters have blossomed into well educated young ladies." Warren said walking over to them.

Kassandra moved in front of them and glared down at Warren "I sent those invitations out months in advance and I don't recall adding your name to that list." Kassandra said politely

"Yes, well I came with a guest actually," Warren said, "Miss. Stillman," 

Lucy Stillman looked at her in apology as she moved to Vidic's side "Hey Lulu," Athena greeted warmly.

Lucy had been friends with her and her sisters since freshmen year at MIT "Its good to see you again girls, I apologize, Warren was a friend of your mothers." Lucy said

"If he was such a friend then why did he steal her technology which would help in the historic field?" Sarah snapped.

The news cameras were recording everything as Warren smirked "Your mother left some of her research to Abstrego." Warren lied

"Really because our mother's Animus was incomplete and we have the Patination paperwork and her will, which everything until we reached the age of 16 years were to be held onto by our father." Brandy said

"Your father who I may add abandoned you, girls, to be raised by your nanny?" Vidic said

"Actually that is another reason we made this a media event because our father never left us, up until last month we lived with him in New York, and it is one name that not even Abstrego wants to go head to head with in a legal battle," Athena remarked.

Warren arched a brow "Oh, and who is your daddy?" Warren asked, "William Miles?" 

"Ew, gross!" Sarah said under her breath.
