Toni

I woke up to my phone ringing off the hook. I didn't want to get up yet, I wanted to stay here with Janet for as long as I could.

"Toni, get the phone." Janet said as she rolled over.

I slowly reached over and answered it.

"Hello?"

"Hey Toni. I know you wanted to think about the whole Jermaine thing, but there's been a change in his schedule and this week is the only week he's available." Kenneth said.

"Then it wasn't meant to be Kenneth." I mumbled. I really didn't want to tell Janet anything about me possibly working with Jermaine. Wouldn't it seem awkward to her?

"Toni, please. He's a really great producer. I think you'll like him. Just come down to the studio? Please." He begged.

He was starting to annoy me. I let out a deep sigh.

"I can't catch a break around here. Damn. I'll be there in a few hours." I hung up the phone and burried my face into my pillow.

"What's that all about?" Janet asked as she slowly sat up.

"Nothing." I got up and went to the bathroom to freshen up. I'll tell her about everything once I calmed down.

I decided to take a quick hot shower to clear my mind. As I was in the shower, Janet entered the bathroom.

"Can I join?" Janet asked.

"Sure." I responded. I was still pretty upset but I couldn't ignore Janet.

Janet undressed, got into the shower and wrapped her arms around my waist.

"What's wrong Toni?" She asked as she looked me in my eyes.

"Nothing." I slowly pulled away and began to bathe myself.

"Toni-" She began.

"Janet just leave it alone. Damn." I snapped.

I didn't mean to say that. We remained quite as we finished bathing.

As I put on my clothes, I could tell Janet was upset.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to snap at you like that.." I said as I walked up to her.

She ignored me and finished getting dressed.

I walked up behind her and wrapped my arms around her. I kissed all over her face as she began to break a smile.

"I'm sorry okay?"

"Okay.." She leaned in and kissed me. Her soft lips brightened my mood.

The kiss began to intensify, I slowly pulled away. She began kissing on my neck.

"Wait... I have to go to the studio Jan."

"When?" She stopped and looked at me.

I looked down at my watch and sighed.

"I should go right now." I looked at her.

"Let me come with you. I haven't been in a studio for a while."

Oh hell no.

"You don't want to stay here?" I chuckled nervously.

"No, please let me come. I'll be on my best behavior I swear." She pleaded.

"Can I ask you something?" I sighed.

"Of course."

"How would you feel if I worked with Jermaine?" I asked.
