Part 30-Last Part

AALIYA'S POV

I looked at Sria who stood at the door fidgeting with her fingers. She meet my eyes and looked down the next instant.

I tried to absorb what I had heard less than 30 minutes ago. Griselda was my biological mother, and I had a twin sister who standing right in front of me with her head hung low.

At first I thought she is the one to blame for all this! But I know now she's as equally shaken up and hurt as I am! Just that she can express it and I can't.

"Sri...Sria!"I called her in a broken voice, and she lifted her head and met my eyes.

"Come here please"I called her to sit next to me. Darshan stood up to let her sit on the stool besides my bed.

She took small baby steps and sat down next to me, still not meeting my eyes. We both just sat not knowing what to say.

"I'm sorry Aaliya, this is all my fault!"she said in a low voice breaking the silence; she looked up slowly as tears ran down her cheeks. Her eyes have become red, puffy and swollen from crying.

"No it's not our fault, we didn't choose this for ourselves!"I told her as I took her hand in mine.

"We never choose to have a mother like that old rag, we never choose to be separated and we never choose to meet again in such horrendous circumstances" I spoke as she listened nodding but not meeting me eyes.

"But I am glad we did!"I tell truthfully. She raised her eyes in a shock as some tears ran rolled out of them, I feel my cheeks getting wet myself.

"Really?"she asked me in a delighted voice. "You're not angry at me?"she asked as I shake my head in a no. She smiled as she hugged me and I hugged her back.

I have never hated her, in-fact I always liked her as a friend, but as a sister it might take me time to accept it. But I know we'll make it through.

I looked at Darshan who gave me a proud smile and smiled back at him.

"We should let bhabhi rest!"I heard Sameer say and Sria broke the hug nodding.

"Bhabhi what will you eat?"Sameer asked me and as if on the cue my stomach growled.

"Kuch bhi!"I told him. Although I had lunch but it's almost night now and I'm hungry.

"Pizza?"he asked me and I nodded excitedly as my mouth watered at the name of Pizza.

"Ok we'll get it!"he said as Sria smiled at me and went with him.

Darshan sat next me taking my hand and pecking me on the hand.

"You're so strong!"he said and brushed my hair.

"I am very sorry for all that I made you go through!"he apologised but I know it was important to catch that woman. My heart hurts when I remember her. She is honestly the worst human I have come across. I felt my eyes water at the thought of he being my mother.

"Hey.. Kya hua?"Darshan asked shifting the bed and wiping my tears.

I shook my head in a no and hugged him. He wrapped his arms on my waist and stroked my hair.

"Nothing time can't heal!"I smiled thinking about all the people who care about me and love. I am truly blessed!

"Should I put this one or this one?"Aanya asked holding two different shades of lipsticks.

"The right one, it'll look bomb with our outfit!" Sria told Aanya who smiled at her and Sria winked in response.
