"Keep searching she might be powerful but her powers are still very unstable. She couldn't have gotten far." Silas said to the group of night walkers that were standing in front him.
"Has anyone seen Antonio? it's not like him to neglect his duties for unexplained reasons." Silas continued. While he glanced around at the men before him reading their demeanors. Silas sighed and ran a hand through his hair completely conflicted with himself. His kingdom was falling and the means to save it was beyond his ability.
The night walkers quietly looked around as they spoke amongst themselves. About where Antonio might have gone.
"I believe I can feed your curiosities." a soft voiced filled the room. Which caused all the men to look around curiously all except for Silas. For he knew that voice all too well.
"It's the princess." a whisper erupted from the crowd of night walkers. Before they bowed politely as Dalinda gracefully walked by. She brought a certain degree of awkwardness to room. Seeing that this was the first time she and Silas were seeing each other after their showdown.
Silas sighed inwardly as he shifted on his throne as he too was able to sense the awkwardness. Which caused him to stare at Dalinda with hard eyes. Not knowing what to expect from her.
"Brother." she whispered causing Silas's eyes to soften at the sincerity in Dalinda's voice.
"You know it's not safe to venture out of your sector especially when your powers are limited." Silas spoke sternly but his eyes remained soft.
Which caused Dalinda to smile sweetly at her older brother. Before proceedings to stand along him on the throne.
"I doubt there's a creature within these walls who would dare try to hurt me. Knowing I am the baby sister of the beast they fear." Dalinda said boldly. With her head held high starring off in the crowd of men. Silas remained silent as he watched his sister's odd behavior.
"I did not come here in hopes of being excused for my actions. Nor did I come as the princess. I come to you brother in hopes of your forgiveness. For I was so completely consumed by jealousy, that I truly believed that I hated you. I truly believed you hated me, I come to you today as the sweet girl only you once knew. I have conspired against you for years. Yet you have never allowed a single creature to hurt me. You have loved me, protected me, stood by me and now it's my turn to return the favor. Why must we fight for a throne when we can rule together?" Dalinda explained.
Her eyes and words each held the same amount of sincerity and purity. A side of her Silas has only seen when Dalinda was much younger. The crowd of men were surprised and some were confused. As they all knew Dalinda hated Silas. Or at least that's what they thought.
"What is it that you've done?" Silas asked cavalierly. As he placed his hand under his chin leaning on one arm of his throne.
Dalinda pouted as she pretended to be hurt that her brother as somewhat disregarded all that she had just said. "I persuaded Antonio to help me kill Enyo. It was my idea and mine alone so Antonio does not need to be punished." Dalinda said looking directly into her brothers eyes. Which were flickering from gold to grey as he fought to keep his composure.
"I'm glad to see that you two have worked out your differences in my absence." a masculine voice sounded from the back of the room. Which caused the crowd of vampires to part slightly revealing the person to whom the voice belongs.
