"Are you sure this is necessary?" I asked rubbing the sleep from my eyes. As Jasmine dragged me down the halls. The sun wasn't even up yet but yet here we were wondering the halls. I swear ever since her and Isabelle found out what I was capable of. They've been on a never ending quest to get their king to see my full potential.
"The king will be here in 2 days! we need you to be prepared!" Jasmine squealed with excitement.
'Prepared huh?'
I mentally rolled my eyes at her statement. Completely and utterly angered by what she said. I felt as if I was some useless being that needed to be tested to determine my faith.
But hey, look on the bright side I guess this explains why we're roaming the castle halls before the crack of dawn."Finally you guys decided to show up I've been waiting forever." Isabelle's voice filled the dark room we were now standing in. The faint smell of candles burning attacked my nostrils within mere seconds.
Over the past few days Isabelle and Jasmine has been trying to get me to control my powers. At first killing them and leaving felt like the perfect thing to do but I needed them. If I had any desire to save my mother I'm going to have to learn how to properly use my powers and that's where they come in.
Isabelle still thinks I'm just a fairy and that's ok with me because the less they know the better. I just needed to get them to convince their king. To loan me a few warriors to save my people. I jumped slightly as the door slammed shut locking us in. And as if on cue Isabelle started chanting ancient words from a book that she was holding.
"It's time." Isabelle said before the lights from the candles went out.
I swallowed loudly as I tried to see in the now pitch black room. "Stop resisting your powers and own it!" Isabelle's voice echoed throughout the room.
"I can't see anything! what is it that you want me to do?" I shouted. Before gasping loudly as I felt something or someone pull my arm.
"What was that ?!?" I screamed before hugging myself tightly.
"You asked for our help! this is us helping." Isabelle said from a corner in the room.
This place is really starting to get on my nerves. Creepy witches with freaky dead friends and a king who supposedly wants me dead.
"No one mentioned anything about raising the bloody dead Isabelle!" I yelled irritated. Before releasing a breath I didn't know I was holding in. "Just try making it to the center of the room Enyo." Jasmine said softly.
"Ok Enyo you got this! It's no big deal."
I sighed loudly before closing my eyes and taking a deep breath. Just as I opened my eyes ready to take another step. The door of the small room flew open revealing a tall and intimidating man with platinum blonde hair that stopped a little over his shoulders. His grey eyes held absolutely no emotions as they starred into mine.
"I don't think we've officially met little one."
He said before plastering a mischievous smirk on his face.
Which caused my stomach to do a thousand back flips all at once.
'Why does the good girls always fall for the bad guys?'
I watched his demeanor intensely. There was something dangerously intriguing about this stranger.
"I can assure you little one, this story will have a completely different ending." He said before crossing his arms and leaning one side of his body on the door frame.
Can the Earth just swallow me up already. I can't believe I just said that out loud!
There it was again that devilish smirk that he let play on his face. I bit my lower lip before turning my gaze to something else in the room. His entire persona was like a magnetic shield that kept trying to pull me in.
