"Enyo!!!!" Jasmine shouted. As she made her way to the edge of the cliff. "My king, I must borrow Enyo." Jasmine said. As she bowed before pulling me off into the distance. I slowly glanced back at Silas to see him smirking softly. As he watched Jasmine pulled me away into the far distance. Silas and I had just gotten back from our little adventure. Which I was still in awe about.

"It's 5:45pm you spent the entire day with the king!" Jasmine shouted.

"Time flies when your having fun." I responded while shrugging as we walked inside my room.

"Happy birthday my sweet girl!" my mother screamed before she trapped me into a bear hug.

"You spent the entire day with the king huh?" Miranda teased before she too hugged me.

"It was not like that Silas and I are only friends." I spoke as I glanced down at my fingers.

"Quite the contrary dear." Dalinda said as she made her presence known. Dalinda smiled softly at me before she too gave me a short hug. As everyone in the room waited for her to explain her earlier statement.

"Your my brother's mate." Dalinda said. Which caused Simon to spit out the water he was drinking. Munroe squealed excitedly as she hugged me softly.

"I knew it! Love is such a beautiful thing and it happens at the most unexpected times." Munroe stated.

She's a doing bit much. I mean I'm sure Silas would have told me himself if that were the case.

"I'm sorry but you have been misinformed." I said to Dalinda as I attempted to walk by her. But she grabbed my arm tightly stopping me in my tracks.

"I am no messenger love, I'm princess of my domain the only reason I'm here is to possibly protect my brother." Dalinda said as she tighten her grip on my arm.

"My brother and I have lived for thousands of years and he's never found his mate until now. So do note that I'd be damned if I allowed a mere child to hurt him." Dalinda spat out.

"It's your brother we should be warning he's the beast!" My mother shouted as she walked towards Dalinda and I.

"Mother, please." I pleaded.

"Cmon let's give them a minute to talk, while we go get ready for the ball it's almost time anyways. Jasmine you stay behind and get Enyo ready Happy birthday again sweetie." Munroe stated as she left the room with my mother and Simon.

"Miranda let's go!" Munroe shouted at a stubborn Miranda. "Are you sure Enyo doesn't need my help dealing with her?!" Miranda asked as she looked Dalinda up and down. Which caused Dalinda to chuckle loudly.

"Your confidence amuses me but if you so much as speak to me in that tone again you will be beheaded." Dalinda said as her once purple eyes turned to the color of wild fire.

"Miranda go I'll be fine." I said softly causing Miranda to leave the room and shutting the door behind her.

"What makes you think that I'm Silas's mate?" I asked immediately. As several images of what our lives together might be like flickered through my mind.

Dalinda smiled knowingly as she glanced at me studying me. "You like him don't you ?" Dalinda asked which caused me to roll my eyes at her.

That's none of your business!" I exclaimed.

So what if I liked Silas or not it really wasn't her business.

"Where did you go today? I've been looking for my brother everywhere. I was surprised to learn that you also managed to disappear." Dalinda said taunting me.

"He took her on an adventure, he allowed her to ride on his back as they toured the sky. Isn't that romantic?" Jasmine blurted out which made me glare at her.

"Sorry." Jasmine mumbled softly.

Dalinda sighed as her bold and confident demeanor shattered as her shoulders sagged. "Have you felt any strange feelings when you two are close or when he speaks?" Dalinda asked me.

I was seconds away from shaking my head. When I remembered the burning pleasure whenever I felt his touch.

"Y- yes." I stuttered as I glanced at Dalinda.

Hoping she would tell me what all of that was about.

"That's the effect he has on you it's a mate thing. It will enhance the second he marks you with a bite. Most people have different experiences when it comes to mates. There's the calm sensation you feel whenever they speak or the sparks you feel when you guys touch. It's truly incredible how the moon goddess works. A dragon's mate however is a completely different thing. Which I've only read about since Silas is the first male dragon. Which means he'll be the first dragon ever to find true love. Our ancestors are a long line of powerful female dragons. Who have been forced into relationships just so they can reproduce. Silas's mere existence changed history as we know it. Which is why I must warn you on the consequences that follows being the mate of a high breed dragon." Dalinda said softly.

You could tell that Silas really meant a lot to her despite their constant quarrels.

"A dragon's mate can only be a human." Dalinda said as she looked at me waiting for my response.

I felt as if my heart was ripped out of my chest. Learning that I was Silas's mate was somehow comforting to me. It made my heart smile knowing that I had found it's other half. But now, hearing that I had to be human felt like a stab to my heart. I'm a Goddess, that's very far from human. Though I portray human like traits. There was nothing humane about me. The idea of being Silas's soulmate was enough to drive any girl insane. But now I learnt that I had to be human? How is that even possible? Was I really ready to give everything up for love ? Or was I ready to scarify my one true love for the person I was destined to be?
