"Now that the child shows signs of having her powers. We could offer her hand in marriage in order to align both kingdoms." Josephine spoke confidently. A little too confident if you ask me. "Josephine is right, now that we've seen what the child is capable of she can actually be of use to us." Theodore stated dryly. I scoffed as I watched from the secret passage. As the members of the Order discussed me.
The Order was a small group of elite fairies. Who quite frankly did not like me. Or anyone in our kingdom for that matter. How dare they expect something of such from me. I'm just 17 for God sakes! I will not marry some arrogant bastard from the dark land kingdom. I quickly sought out to find the only person in the castle that I could speak to. There had to be more to this.
"Simon!"
I shouted as I stormed inside the messy fairy's study.
There were books everywhere it was almost impossible to find him in here. I sighed loudly before closing the door to his study. Not wanting any witnesses to my next action. I tucked my hair behind both of my ears. As I steadied my breathing completely focusing on the task at hand. I closed my eyes and exhaled before snapping my fingers. I reopened my eyes slowly to see what was once a messy room. Was now actually very much organized and clean.
I smiled placing my hands on my hips as I turned around. Only to be greeted by a short and chubby man sitting around a table. "Hello princess." he said smiling. His bright green eyes sparkled slightly once the sun reflected on them. Simon was my favorite person in the castle. He was like one of those old sleazy professors. "I see you've learnt a new trick." he said without looking up from his work.
"I've been spending my free time with the mages but that's not why I'm here."
I said getting straight to the point.
"Of course! Your here to discuss our kingdom's alliance which will be formed through your marriage." He said nonchalantly as if he had said the most normal thing ever. Before standing up from his desk and removing his glasses.
I immediately narrowed my eyes at him. Upon hearing such absurd news. "you knew?!" I asked angrily. I was almost certain that steams were flowing through my ears at this point. "Relax princess, we don't want a repeat of what happened on the training grounds." Simon said nervously with a faint and nervous smile.
I nodded slightly before I plopped myself down on a chair behind me. As I waited for him to tell me what he knew.
