I assumed I nodded my head, feeling it moving up and down as I didn't feel like speaking.
"So, nothing extremely bad happened. From the cameras around the area that you told us you were stabbed, the person who did it was caught, so don't worry. The area they stabbed you in was right in between your 11 & 12th rib, so no permanent damage was done."

(11&12 rib - your lower ribs that connect only at the back, and not at the front)

My grandmother was crying, and I felt slightly responsible for the attack.
"But, when we further examined your head, which had blood on it, we found out that some damage was done to your optic nerves."

(Optic nerves - located at the back of the eye. Is responsible for transferring visual information)

I felt like I was actually going to burst into tears.
"Since it wasn't much, the swelling will go down in a few days, so nothing bad has happened. You're fine. Once you're discharged you will have to keep your stomach wrapped for about a month for the stitches to heal and then be taken out."

(Swelling done by the optic nerve when it's damaged, causing Jungkook's temporary blindness)

I nod.

"You're in college correct?"

I nod again.

"I advise that you take a year break. Not just for your injury, but also for your mental state. Do you want me to tell you privately or with your-I asume grandmother here? You can shake your head up and down for it to be open, or side to side for privately."

I was thankful that she gave me the choices so I didn't have to talk, but I wanted to use my voice.
"I-I, I want I-It to be privately, I-I hope you understand grandma."

She holds my hand.
"Oh baby, it's fine. Everyone needs a little privacy."

I heard her cane move across the room loudly, the door shutting behind the noise.
I didn't hear it anymore.
"Your grandmother is gone now, waiting outside, so I'll tell you about your mental state."

"Ok." I say.
"Well first off, you have severe depression. You also have some signs of DID, but not much. Some signs of OCD, but also not much. You also have severe signs of psychotic tendencies, and sociopath behavior issues. Sorry to ask, but have you ever been anywhere that helps with that?"

"I-I have. It was around a year ago, a mental asylum."
"Ok. I don't think you should go back, since I don't have your other records, I can't tell you how much progress you've made, but not a lot by you medical records. I suggest you go to a therapist. Search one up to see if they've actually helped people first beforehand. Don't feel pressured, since it's only a suggestion. I hope you feel better Jungkook. After today the doctor will come in to check up on you so don't be alarmed. Have a nice recovery."
