"Taehyung, just to make this clear, I want to talk about the kiss."
His eyes widened.
"I said that-"
"Now." He looks at me, confusion written all over his face.
I sigh.
"You know we can't be a thing."
He looks away from me.
"I'm unstable, I could potentially hurt you. I have severe mental issues that you don't know about, you don't know what I'm capable of."
I didn't say it a prideful manner, instead, it was in a shameful one. I honestly didn't know what I was capable of. I was capable of killing people in the wrong mindset, what if I hurt Taehyung?
"Jungkook, I don't care about all of that. I want to help you! I don't care about anything else! I don't care if you could hurt me!"
"Taehyung..." I whispered.
He was practically pleading, his head in my lap as tears fell down his cheeks.
His eyes were full of sorrow.
"You need me..."
I stared down at him, my hand gently running through his hair.
He was right, but also wrong.
I did need him.
He kept me sane, but he also made me go crazy.
"You don't understand the risks you're taking to be with me! You think you do but you don't!!"
Taehyung held onto my hands tightly, his cries quieting down.
I took in a deep breath, saying what I really wanted to say to him.
"I found my soulmate."
It was like the world stopped. The grip on my shirt lessened, slowly becoming non-existent.
His breath pivoted, leaving me speechless.
I said it. I said what's been bottled up inside of me for so long.
Taehyung looked up, his face red and puffy.
"What?" He says in a hushed tone.
I looked down.
"I said, I found my soulmate."
Taehyung backs away from me, the pressure of his body on mine leaving, my heart breaking slightly.
He's now sitting next to me, a distance between us. "When did you find out." He sounded like he lacked emotion, so unlike his usual self.
"When I was on a walk, I saw my soulmate mark on someone I saw through a window."
It was quiet for a few seconds.
"They don't know?"
I shook my head.
"Jungkook, you said you hated soulmates. I don't have one, and we both like each other. We can make it work I swear." There was a crack in his voice.
My eyes watered.
"Why are you so desperate." I whisper.
"Because," he grips the couch roughly.
"You, you're in danger Jungkook."
He looks up from his lap and into my eyes.
A tear ran down my cheek.
"No, I'm a danger to myself."
I get up from the couch, feeling a breakdown coming.
I hear Taehyung get up behind me.
"No! You're in danger! My family, they, they-"
"Go home Taehyung." I said as I tried to keep it together, I made my way upstairs.
"Listen to me Jungkook!"
"Leave!!"
I slam my door behind me.
I collapse to the floor, my legs finally giving up on me, just like I gave up on myself.
